| Tommrows 649 is $20 million what would you do if you if you hit the jackpot? |

| invest it all in a high interest fund in the cayman islands so i dont have to pay tax on my capital gains. then have the interest cashed out automaticly at the end of the month and put into a bank account. Then live off the interest. If the iinterest isnt' enough for me to buy some thing i wanted to buy i would just borrow against my investments with a loan or line of credit and then make the payments with the interest :). hope thats not confusing lol |

I totally understand...and believe me, interest on 20 million would definitely be enough money for you to do just about anything you wanted. |

| I would invest like mentioned above. Then spend a year traveling to see what I would want to do for the rest of my days. |
|

| REFLUX |
Investing it would be my route.
Maybe save some to use on daily life things but yeah, living off the interest would be great :) |

Well, I'd start buy paying off all my debts. Buy a house, not extravigant, but not cheap.
Pay off my parent's mortgage, get my dad a new truck.
My wife would want to help her parent's out in a similar fashion.
take 80% of whats left and invest it, the other 20% would be for daily living for the first year or so and toys. |

move away.. have a house in the country.. a nice house.. witha big driveway and a modest horse riding facility in the back :) like an 11 car garage.. not so much for 11 cars, but for my summer car, the winter car and my truck/ horse trailer. Oh.. my boyfriend can come too.. and i might consent to buying him a few gadgets.
so that would be.. lets see.. $3m for the estate $1m for me cars, lets say i spent $1m on the boyfriends car. thats 5m.. my rents i wouldnt mail in a box to abu dabi, and im not giving my brother any money because hes most likely going to be making a buttload sooner or later. I would sent my 2 aunts, 2 uncles, grandma and their children on a cruise around the world. Oh and I would buy a yaght.. not that i know how to spell that. :) not that i spend alot of time thinking of things like that
and i would definatly get myself some bigger boobs! |

Mr. Obvious says, 'you don't need 20 Million to move'.
You can move right now if you're so unhappy, but wherever you go, there YOU will be. |

Hi DomesticDrifter,
I would pay off my house. Then I would take a portion of the remainder and invest in some funds that would provide a good source of capital gains and dividend income. (Better for taxes) This portion would be maybe 50%
I would then take the remaining portion buy up real estate (houses) in developing areas, and areas which are slated to be near good growth and then rent out the houses to people thus providing me with a constant source of income. I would benefit from this two fold.
1) As the housing market increases so do my properties thus increasing my net worth
2) I will have a regular rate of return of my investment from people wanting to rent my properties. I would take this money earned and reinvest it back into the markets and also use it to aquire more property. :D
I would still drive the same cars and live the lifestyle that I live now.

For starters, I'd throw a mad party (probably a few lol) with unlimited liquor & bud, strippers hanging from the ceiling like monkeys, a DJ, fireworks n' all that jazz.
Then, I would definitely buy a winter vacation get-away home somewhere warm. I wouldn't move though, I like Edmonton:D. I would give each member of my immediate family a mill and somehow share a bit of the wealth with my friends. I'd obviously do the expensive car thing. I would still finish my degree and use the money to help me start a business. I don't understand how some of you guys would want to live off of the interest, what a boring life. I'd invest the rest.
As long as I don't turn into this guy, winning $20M would be quite the ride!!! |

| invest it so i can buy the Oilers some day |

Get it all in cash and throw it on the floor and roll naked in it...................
one thing I wouldnt do is buy a business or anything like that. With $20 mil you could easily live an awesome lifestyle off the interest off a good investment........so why use it to creat a headache and stress........I would make my life so it was stress free. |

Buy a Crx. Put a big block with blower. AMerican muscle import compact. Oh and i'd buy a campion 7501 paint it all black and put a circular bed in the bottom. Put some cadillac engines. I wanna add to mine.. build a apartment/town house complex up here. charge reasonable rates.
Main reason is there's no where to rent, and what is availible cost WAY to much. |

Disappear for a couple of years and travel. Eventually the blood suckers would give up and move on.
That's not saying I wouldn't help my close family out. What I always figured would work best is to pay down everyone's debts. That way they can spend their own money how they want to spend it. I'd buy my parents a couple of new cars (so my mum doesn't have to drive her lemon of a Bug anymore and so my dad isn't driving his huge truck around the city). Each of my sisters would get a decent sum of money to spend as they will, house, cars, whatever. But I would place at least $500k into an RRSP for each of them so that they will always have money when they retire.
After that I would essentially live on the interest/earnings from investments. Starting my own grassroots racing team will also be right up there. |
