Basically looking to find a 2nd gen with a normally aspirated 13B engine. I say GTU because they are reputed to have the 4.30 rear end from the factory.
Not wanted immediately, but for the new year. Preferably something with a complete interior and no leaks of any kind. (oil pan, i'm looking at you) Paint condition less of an issue (red, white, black), but i'd like to avoid rust.
would 3-5 grand be a good expectation? I'm thinking they go for less than the turbo II's. (unless the rarity bumps up the price) |

We've never seen a NA in Japan, so I don't think that there are any. If you want a GTU, just for the 4.30 gears, your going to have to look towards USA to find one.
Or just order up a set of gears from somewhere and install them in any 2nd Gen rx7...

All the 2nd gen RX-7 were turbo'ed in Japan and came with the factory 4.10 diff ratio.
Finding an original GTU will be hard, they were rare back when they were new.
Best bet is to check out racingbeat.com or mazdatrix.com for aftermarket gear sets. |
