I know this is a little off topic.. but there are more than a few virtual racers in the club, so I'm just getting the word out.

Very true!
But I will let you in on a little hint for the XF GTi on Blackwood: Camber - Gobs of it.. 3 degrees
Its probably worth 2 seconds a lap by itself.
Fernando laid down a 1:35.21! Best I could pull is a 1:35.73 and that was after he gave me all his secrets.. He might have a few more up his sleeve though!
I guess we will have to flip a coin to see if the starting order will be inverted for the sprint race! ehehe

I was feeling lonely putting 3 seconds per lap on Bryan and then decided that I need some healthy competition... :blink: Now Bryan is faster than me (more consistent) and I am screwed for the Sunday race (unless I can improve a little bit)
I am kidding... it is much more fun to be fighting for positions!

Same here! I had lots of fun, especially on the GTi race after getting "punted" from behind and spinning on my second lap... playing catch and finishing less than a second from you! :-)
GTR "endurance" was kind of boring :asshole: as I had NO COMPETITION AT ALL!!!
I am kidding. Bryan put some incredible laps trying to catch me in the last half of the race! :bowdown:
It is almost as fun as autocross...

Yeah, you caught up because I got lazy and cut a corner too close. If I hadn't have rolled, I would have been 15-20 seconds up on you by the end.
The South City track for the GT next week is insane. All blind corners. I haven't taken a look at the sprint course yet. |

The full version is 12 UK pounds, which is aout $30 CAD.. so its pretty cheap. Its well worth it IMHO.. I've not found a physics engine much better.

I havn't played GT4.. I have no playstation, but I would say this game is geared more toward a simulator and has less bling.. But plays really well online.. As far as physics go, I can't say.. maybe someone else has played them both.
It is PC only BTW.

I have played both and just to give you an idea, I bought my Logitech Driving Force Pro to play GT4 and I didn't return it out of disappointment because I had the sheer curiosity to try make it work on the PC.
LFS with a Logitech DFP is heaven compared with GT4 (mine has not been touched since I got back to LFS!!!
Believe me Trevor, I know about videogames! :thumbup:

I think each stage is 12 pounds. If you buy S2 now is 24 pounds.

I've made a 8L v10 with 44lbs of boost... lol! Thing HAULED ass.. AND it was 4x4.. ran like 9.65 in the 1/4 It would run faster But Tractions Is OBVIOUSLY an Issue.. lol :thumbup:

Yeah, both series cost me $53 through paypal, but it is definately worth it.
P.S. I have the fastest laps on both tracks. Fernando, challenge me on the sprint this time, okay? |

| Actually you guys should run a couple hotlaps around sprint 2, if i would have, I'd be in the first page of records, and by race time the way we practice, we could all be up there. |

Yes, it is the greatest thing since sliced Grand Prix Legends. The cars you get in the preview all suck big time. Drive a GTR and you will never look back. |

I have a Microsoft Wheel (not Force Feedback) for $15, still on the original box.

Even a joystick is good.. The only bad thing about some joysticks is that they don't always register full forward and full turn at the same time. (ie. pushing the stick to the corner) For driving this is actually good sometimes.. (helps to keep the car in the traction envelope) ;) But when you need that bit of extra.. it might not be there.
Some people do quite well with those analog joypad thingees like for a playstation or something. They can sometimes even win races with them.. :blink:
