"when a lot of people install a pop charger or cone filter, they remove those resonator pipes, but they are left with a hole in the main feed pipe" -member of 300zxclub.com
So i was wondering how many of you have pulled out the extra piping and plugged up those holes, if not are you going to?

| I think that thread applies only to Naturally Aspirated (NA) models and not twin turbo (TT). |

You're digging for technical info on 300zxclub.com?? ROFL!!
You can remove the air ducts, they don't serve any function once you remove the stock air box. And removing them gives you a little extra space to work with also. |

ok well I didn't know that was a bad place to look,:dunno: I know what the mod does but i read that it's bad to have those holes there due to the particles that can be sucked in and such or something so I was wondering should I cover them or not...if it doesn't matter i don't want to fuck with it. |

Which "holes" are you referring to?
You're not "fucking" with anything by removing those ducts if you already swapped to a pop charger. Swapping the air box to a pop charger constitutes more "fucking" with your car then whether you leave the ducts there or not.
The POP Charger was not intended or designed to receive air from those ducts. It receives its air through the main air dam by flowing under and up behind the splash shield. |

nevermind I was confused a bit but i understand now the holes only apply to the NA's but this is the part that the TT's can take out. |

| yup. That's the duct thingy that connects to the stock air box. I left mine in for now. Probably will take them out the next time I am bored and have nothing else to do. |
