List of some of the things that have side lined you and so forth, im bored as im sittin here icin my leg.

Tore my groin ( 2 ) - dont ask how many pulls - left side
Tore Hamstring - left
Tore Quad - left

To some up what happend, i partially tore my groin was rehabin it, started tryouts with a groin at 70% , causing my quad and hamstrings to work harder, so i tore my quad due to it, while rehabin the quad did the hamstring :D Then i re-tore my groin last year trainin for germany ( not the same ever since, i pull it in the shower and walkin on the street )

Now to more fun stuff

Fractured Skull - behind my left ear
Concussions - about 5 , only went to the doctor for 4 of them but im sure ive had more

Broken bone in my right foot

Dislocated shoulder which wont sit in place and needs surgery YEAH................. ( right shoulder )
Ripped / partial tear on my left side rotator cuff

Out of all these injuries the one that i hate the most was the torn groin , still effected to this day and it will not be the same until i get surgery or stay off my feet long enough so it fully heals. Either way yeah just curious what other injuries people may have suffered from.

I can tell you are a fellow goalie:thumbup:
Tore my groin
Tore my rotator cuff
Broken arm(damn near a compound fracture, could see the bone almost pushing through my skin)
Multiple concussions
Broken foot
Both knees need surgery to clear scar tissue
Pulled Quads
There are others but those seem to be the major ones.

I broke & dislocated my arm on the final kicker in a snowboarding competition. I have the tape of it; fuckin’ brutal. I have a pretty big scar on my arm as a result.

I've had bad luck with my eyes. I had a Porsche battery explode in my face once (I wasn't wearing glasses:smack: ). I simply had my eyes flushed out and my vision wasn't affected. Apparently battery acid is one the least harmful acids to the human eye.

I had to undergo emergency surgery on my eye from being blindsided at Cowboys by some guy who probably had rings on. It was over a girl, I knew they were trouble lol. I still don't know what he looks like to this day but my buddies bootfukt him after the pussy did it. The outer edge of my left eyelid was lacerated and needed stitching. I'll tell ya, that was quite the experience watching a needle do its work millimetres from my cornea.

I mangled my arm again thanks to a helmet while playing football @ McMahon in Cowtown.

I've had a numerous injuries but none are as interesting as those.

Jesus, it makes me feel a little queasy reading about some of those injuries.

Well when I was 8 or 9 I shattered my ankle jumping off of a building in our park at schol. The shin bone nearly protruded through the bottom of my foot. The fucked up thing is that I was so worried about getting in trouble for jumping off of the building that I walked all the way around the school and sat in class for two hours on the verge of passing out from all of the blood pooling in my ankle. It was that day that I first heard an adult say 'holy shit' as my teacher took a look at my ankle at the start of the lunch break.

Ever since then my ankle has sucked and it has caused problems with my knee on the same leg because it has had to try and compensate.

Dislocated shoulder, which actually keeps happening when I put my arm underneath my pillow sleeping at night. I wake up and my shoulder is out of the socket.

I've had quite a few goosebumps, one actual concussion, and the assorted bits of road rash, cuts, bruises, stepped on nails, etc. that most kids accumulate. Oh and I've also had a couple of broken toes.

Not the most fun in the world.

P.S. just remembered about the day I nearly broke my back. Basically I was folded in half sideways on the edge of a metal bin and it pushed in as far as my spine. It was tons of fun peeing blood!

Does an itchy butt & hurt feelings count?

j/k...how about: broken sternum, ruptured achilles tendon, ruptured ACL. Those are the main ones. Played sports for years with no troubles and wrecked my wheels playing beer league slo pitch - it is a killer for injuries for such a supposedly soft sport.

Compression fracture to L1 vertebra, chunk taken off a rib, 1 broken finger, 2 broken toes. Those are the only ones that leave a lasting impression, everything else I've healed completely from.

Broken arm, bruise to the brain:
Scary thing was, I can't remember how it happened. Driving back home from renting a movie and witness say my car hydroplaned. I can't remember a damn thing...not a thing. Apparently, my car (93 SRV) hit a pole, split in half and was dangling off a bridge with me still in it...When the ambulance arrived they said I was concsious but the last thing I remembered was being at the video store renting a movie. After that, the only thing I remember was being rushed to the emergency room and hearing some doctor say, we gotta operate fast. There is about 2 hour gap I can't remember anything...NOthing, not even how the accident happened, how was I taken out of the car by the EMS...nothing.
My arm (humerous) had snapped in half in the middle, colarbone shattered and a bruise to the brain (fully recovered). I'm left with a permenant metal plate in my arm and 13 inch operation scar to seal the arm. Thankfully, I have full funciton of everything...
Only thing that pisses me off is travelling and having the damn plate go off through the metal detectors. Imagine being Muslim visting the U.S. and they ask you why the metal detector keeps on going off and you have to say, you had a metal plate surgically insterted in your arm...hahhahah, Trust me, the attention I ALWAYS get from Airport Security is NOT the greatest.

hey that reminds me....

edit: I used to have an x-ray of my freinds shoulder when he broke it into a million peices. They put 3 rods about 8 inches long each through his shoulder. I thought i still had the pic but I can't find it. :[

Oh man you guys are savages, just reading about all this pain hurts. Has anyone ever set off the metal detectors at the airport from their internal fixators? I've never had a problem with the screw & pins in my elbow so I'm curious if that's just a myth or if it actually happens...

Off topic: nissanz32, were u @ the Husky on Cal Trail Thursday around 2pm? I thought I saw ur car from a distance, it looked nice n' clean.

Read my post above...the answer is yes. I'm not sure if its the actual plate that sets it off or the screws use to drill in the plate.
It's funny/scarey at the same time. You walk through, and it goes off. Then you have to hold your arms out and they use that hand held detector. When they get to my arm they get kind of confused...It's not a belt buckle, or a watch...it's a metal plate. Travelling to the states is bad enough as is for me but explaining the metal plate just makes it much worse.

3 concusions worth mentioning (3 other ones too)
I snapped my ankle in 3 places (8 screws, a plate and a pin in there, and 2 surgeries, 1 more)
Broke my nose
Wrecked the cartiledge in my jaw (so it now pops out all the time)
Broke my hand
Broke my foot

Thats about it, and thats all mountainbiking, haha, what a sport.

seevik
i fell of a fucked up bmx n broke my arm when i was 15 at beginnin of summer so wasted the whole summer scratchin my arm, and then this summer on sum dirt track in st albert if anyone knows bout it i fell of my bike and scratched the livving shit out of my self on pavement, it hurt

tokes
Tore my MCL in two places and my ACL two years ago. I had ACL reconstruction surgery (tommy john surgery) using titanium screws and I do set off alarms in airports.

luder
Compressed 3 vertebrae playing basketball, broke my right pinky toe 3 times mountain biking. A note for each, a bend your knees when playing basketball, and watch for treestumps when downhilling.

My knees are fucked from skiing too.....

SilverNeonRacer
When I was in Kindergarder/grade 1 I was pushed off the top of a twirly slide... landed on my back.. can't remember if I was injuried.. all I remember is it was winter and I landed on ice and after I landed was out cold for 30-60min.

When I was 12-14 I went full speed head on into the boards at an out door ice rink... once again I woke up a few minutes later nowhere near the boards.. I bounced pretty good.. got stitches from that one.

Minor concussions and such from BMX bikes growing up and riding down big hills in the river valley.

While doing some construction work a drill bit snapped and the part that was still on the drill went almost all the way through my hand... in that meaty piece between the index finger and thumb.

I broke my back.. fractured my L5 twice, got 2 buldging discs, and due to the sudden compression of my spine Roto-scoliosis(sp?)

Since then in car accdients I've buggered both shoulders, and my upper spine(neck)

And my knees are naturally screwed every since I was 12.
