| My friend got a speeding ticket for going 12kms over even though he swears he wasnt. He doesnt have time to fight it and just payed....A month goes buy and he gets a letter saying that the ticket has been quashed and there is a cheque for the paid price of the ticket. WTF happened? |

Probably because the officer decided not to file it.
I had this happen to me as well. I get pulled over for incorrectly aimed fog lights ($50) then he proceeds to write up a ticket for "Modifying my license plate ($320) in which my plate was bent.
I went to pay and they said the modifying license plate ticket was not in the reords, so they voided it. |

its a ticket for having a bent plate? on the old gixxer my plate was right bent |

pft I've seen bikes with plates facing straight down pretty much mounted way in the wheel well, and then theres the tie them up with wire approach so they fly around haha never heard of them getting tickets for it though. |

| ^^Ya. with this case they mailed a cheque back of the ammount he paid...:dunno: Oh, well. I guess they messed up and realized it....now if only they were always this smart. |
