WTB: 1994-1997 Supra TT - Click HERE for Original Thread

Supra88
I'm looking for a 1994-1997 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo. It must be manual. Preferebly black or red.

Inzane
I'm not trying to be a smartass in any way (and I'll freely admit it when I do), but you would have much much better luck looking down in the US.

They just didn't sell many here... or in Canada at all.

Someone in Toyota Canada's marketing severely overpriced the MKIVs in Canada for some reason. The TT's sold for ~$80,000 CDN (WHY?!?!), when they were never more than ~$40k USD down south. Even when our dollar was much weaker 7-10 years ago, that was still way too much money. (at say 1.5 exch $40k USD was only $60k CDN by comparison).

hes right, they were insanely overpriced back in the days... that marketing person should be shot in the knees for doing that to us...

inzane is right though, you would have much better luck finding a supra in the US. by comparing the exact same car side-by-side, theirs would be cheaper(even with the customs and everything accounted for)

good luck finding one though...

I gave up trying to locate one of these myself and bought a WRX instead =( Not that I'm unhappy with the WRX but I've always wanted a MKIV Supra

here's a window sticker for a 95 6spd TT

Yup. I got a friend going to fly down to texas and drive one back and it will still be cheaper than buying on in canada

Agreed,

The only place to go is down to the states. They're better quality down there too because there is no winter. One of our members went down to Arizona to get his.

And don't forget to join the Edmonton Supra Club once you get it :D .

Cheers,

Tim

Yes, how does it work importing the cars? Or do you just need an OOP and its good to go?

your forgetting border tax where you pay like 7% of its purchase price, recall letter from the US toyota place, they have to have like 3 days notice before you can go to them. a bunch of stuff has to be done before anything from US can come up here. its worth all the hassle for what your getting cause its almost impossible to find one here for a good price. was considering going down there and getting one, but its not easy to find one thats close to the border.

I have also seen a few being sold in BC as well. Try www.revscene.com and look at their marketplace.

there are always clean stock examples on www.ebaymotors.com
