gay. hahaha hows the glass-top treating you jeff?

Inzane
Is there really a need for a "JDM" car club? I mean if a guy has a Skyline, wouldn't it make more sense to join a Skyline club (if one existed) or a Nissan club (which does exist)? Or the same for any other imported cars whether they are Mazda, Honda, Toyota, etc. Clubs for most of the major marques already exist.

Do the "JDM" people think they are somehow special and different enough from their US/CDN-spec counterparts to actually warrant yet another car club?

Maybe I just don't get it. You're right, I never have got the whole "JDM" trend/fad/bandwagon. :dunno: Oh well.

baker_jeff
Oh Inzane. You're only jealous because your car is faster and nicer than mine, and that you don't have to go through the drive-thru backwards!

But seriously, I didn't do this to be cool, I just like the idea of a bunch of sweet-ass imports getting together and having discussions on JDM only topics. I dunno. Maybe I AM just a ricer.

Ok its true!

I don't see the other car clubs discriminating against the JDM/RHD cars. :D Everyone should be welcome.

But if you guys need a support group anyway, all the power to ya! :p

I don't mean for the forum to be for JDM only.... because it's for JDM owners AND enthusiasts :) . Just more leaning towards JDM only topics, because we have our 780tuners, and others for everything else.

It could serve a purpose for feedback on importers, inspections, paperwork, parts, and general bs. Import Concern has been patient with questions but their sponsor forum isn't always the appropriate place for all the JDM questions. My JDM wasn't bought for the schizzle and I know I have to do a little more work to keep it tyte than your typical generic import so if this can help it might be worth looking into.

baker_jeff
Thats the spirit!

Holy crap, Jeff, the teenage assclowns posting on your site are pretty funny, but I am not sure they mean to be. I will check in later to see if there is any improvement.

example #1:

Are domestics allowed in the drift events??? cause my Dad has a Camaro with like 1400HP ....1600HP when you hit the NOS..I am sure if we put that drift button thing on I could kick some serious ass at the drift battles Skylines and RHD cars would not even have a chance...so could someone point me in the right direction to the rulez

oldraven
I'm so in!:fingersx:

Bad Egg
I am pretty sure that the quote I used is just a sarcastic reply to some of the more inane posts.:fingersx:

It does capture the theme pretty acurately though.

My friend told me he's going to take me out next year to the illegal drift races at night! He says with some practice maybe by the end of next summer I could compete with my CRX. I imported it from Japan, so it's a JDM car already, which he told me makes it better for drifting already! I'm pumped man. Does anyone else on this board go to the underground drift races in Edmonton? I'll see you next year!

Nahh you will need more like 600 to 750 hp to drift properly 400 hp will only allow you to powerslide its close to drifting but not as cool

Looks like I need NOS.... the big bottle... no make that two...

oldraven
Good lord. I'll be here all night.

quote:
whatever dude. you oviously dont know shit. with the power steering anf the turbo and bov and all the other stuff on the left side of the car when you put the driver on the right it balances the weight out. they talk about it in the drift bible. yes it depends on the driver but there is only so much a car can do man 240's arent gods gift to drift racing like you oviously think they are.

...I couldn't resist...:D

I tell you it's a freakin gold mine. Of course now I would be too ashamed of my JDMness to show up at any UC meets.

Bad Egg
Gold, I tell ya, pure gold!

quote:
no man. 240's have really heavy driveshafts and the drivetrain loss is closer to 45 % cuz the lsd

quote:
my freind at school told me that all Right drive cars are faster then the left hand drive verisons... i'm fairly certain this is true... so why would anyone want to buy left hand drive cars?

quote:
It's cause the have like 100 octane gas in JDM. So the cars have more power from burning better gas. I don't know who would want LHD either. Maybe I know your buddy at school? What school? Not many people I talk to know about JDMs. It's like our little secret club.

quote:
A LHD car is definantly cheaper than a RHD car. So people who usually dont have enough money, like me, buy a LHD car and do it up to perform just as good or even better than a RHD car. The only draw back is it doesnt look as cool.

quote:
I really want to put a skyline engine into my CRX so I can be awesome at drift battles next year.

oh, I gottta stop, it's killin me. OK, 1 more:

quote:
And I heard my buddy order a drift button in Autotoyz. The girl there said it mounts to the dash and makes your car act like a rear wheel drive car.

Try to pick out the chain yankers from the truely clueless...

Once again, sorry Jeff, it's growing pains. I am sure it will get better.

stevemo600
BAHAHAHAH!!!! Honestly, some of the funniest things I've ever heard in my life?

Did we sounds like that in highschool? I sure hope not or I need to punch myself in the teeth!?!

baker_jeff
Don't worry, I'm laughing and making fun of it as much as everyone else. I pray it will get better!
