I like the pic with the big 300ZX splashed across the door. Kinda like the rednecks with Dodge, Ford and Chevy stickers plastered across their rear windows of their pickups. Makes me beg to ask the question to the owner, "So what kinda veehicul iz it?"
Jason, don't you have that JDM knob in your car? |

Is that all? LOL Yup, I've got the shift knob, nose emblem, tail lights, and... the whole front fascia from that car.
I like everything about the 99 version of the car except its RHD (blah), speedo only goes to 180km/h, and that spoiler is too generic looking. Also some of the seat options are nasty.
BTW, those pics are from the factory/dealership brochures from Japan for the 99 Z. I have a copy of the brochure, its got lots of neat pics, but most of the text is in Japanese (d'oh) obviously.
BTW, that decal on the door was thankfully just an optional "accessory". |

that's a weirdness of those jpegs... i noticed it too. They don't appear that way in the actual pictures in the brochure.
And you've seen the shift knob in real life.

Do you have that red stiched one or the other one (next to the white car?)
if it is the one shown in this pic, how does it feel when shifting?...i find the oem shift knob really comfortable and don't think i will be changing it but that white one looks cool.
edit: i just read your new post lol i guess it is the red stiched one.
by the way is it possible to get the red gauges? |

I have the red-stitched shift knob, which is identical to our original shift knobs except for the red stitching. Those "Navan" knobs were optional accessories.
As mentioned earlier those red gauges only go up to 180km/h. Go ahead and hunt for them if you really want 'em. :p |

Those are some nice pics, I would love a red stitched steering wheel for my car. Unfortunatley the biggest problem is it seems they all have that ghastly air bag in them.. Yuck.
I don't know about you Jason, but some of those seats look pretty good, but I don't think they will work in left hand drive car.
Cheers, |

Those red ones would work well with my Aztec Red. |

lol, personally I don't like JDM things that much...little things like the front of the 99 Z car I wouldn't mined, adds a "younger" look to the car (but still like the US market fascia better, I think it looks more aggressive which I like a lot). Or the little extras from the inside and outside like taillights, HID front lights and other lenses, shift knobs, leather boot for e-brake or the shift boot but everything else I don’t really care :dunno:. I am and always will be a CaDM kind of guy lol...that’s why I bought the CaDM/USDM spec instead of spending 9-12 grand for a right hand drive, beaten to death JDM car. (Not all are beaten to death just most) I hate right hand drive :limpwrist but that's just me....cars like the skyline I understand you can only get in right hand drive...which those owners don't have a choice. Call me the JDM nazi:dunno: again NOT ALL JDM is bad.
(I mean no disrespect to the JDM owners out there it's just me and my opinion:)) |

You're not the only one with that kind of opinion. While the 99 front end does look interesting, it was the looks of the one I saw in early 90 at the car show on the big turntable that I feel into lust with. Now I own one. In alot of ways it's like getting the hottest chick you remember in high school and she never changes. |

lol I hear ya! same goes for me but it was my grade 6 teacher that had a N/A version of that car with a TT front and I fell head over heels in love from there on with the 300! :D (I never thought I would have the chance of owning one) It was one of my fave cars of all time! Please excuse me, I'm going to go look at mine right now.  |

I'm the same way, and I'm old enough to have appreciated the car when it first came out as well. But I fell in love with the WHOLE CAR, not just the front bumper cover. |

I agree. But I also do like the customized look. And there are so many options for a custom look with a Z32. I personally like the passive agressive look (i.e. agressive, but clean, nothing way too showy). |
