| :dunno: this all happend to me before.i grew up in calgary and a few years ago the tuner/ "racing" scene was crazy.between 200-500 cars would show up,but the more popular it got the more idiots would show.slowly it turned into a shit show.slowly people started losing respect doing stupid shit (donuts,burnouts,drinking and littering)and the police took notice.the cops never gave a fuck until people started doing disrespectful stuff.from the on it got outa hand and cops took notice soon enough the pigs were on our asses(even the ones that wernt doing stuff to hurt the situation.)we had totally fucked up what we had and took it for granted.i guess my point is we are on this site for a reason.cause we are car nuts.we obvously have something in common so lets find some level ground and work together so we dont lose the one thing we all have in common ,we all enjoy the meets,please guys you dont know what you got till its gone trust me! |

So you bring this up as a warning. I ageee that there is an abnormal amount of BS going on but winter will give people time to think and things will be better in the spring.

It's good to hear that there are some people who are conscious about their actions & how it affects the entire enthusiasts scene.
Hopefully more people will listen & think about what they can do to keep the meets alive & live alongside with the law. |

It's Not what its ALL about.. but it's a factor in the car scene...

Soulfly. People like you are the reason that things like UC get screwed up. You have shown several times that you have no idea what you are talking about and that you are a danger to other people on the road. People that do shit like that is the reason that you no longer see me out at the UC events at all.
Shit like that does not need to be a part of the car scene. |

Been a few meets since I seen burnouts at uc. Well the SUV actually was the last time I seen them stunts at UC and they were performed by a senior member of 780 quite a few weeks ago. In all honesty the stunting scenes produced at UC are pretty rare so in some ways I find that constantly complaining about them is a little overboard. Its true that they occur just not as much as some of us make it sound.
For as many meets Ive attended/participated in I have never seen Soulfly do any stunts. |

I met alot of people Dave , Soulfly/Trev I was fortunate enough to meet him on my very first Wednesday meet and he is a very intellent young man. He is also a excellent and very skilled welder metal fabricator. I think we assume people are dumb by posts and judge and stay judging because of them. Who knows how many guys here still think Im a dumbass or a idiot or a moron or a retard or whatever I dont care cus I meet them in person and its a whole different ball of wax.
Infact Nightstalker/Mike was the first person to banter me when I joined 780 lol I cant say as I didnt ask for it. It was just a misunderstanding cus I decided to meet him in person and we hit it off pretty decent (p.s. mike for some reason I cant get back into heatscore wtf?)
I find its alot easier to meet and understand somebody in person and to remember them and put faces to screen names. Thats why I walk around all dorky like at meet asking "Are you s 780 member? Whats your name on there? Whats your name out here?" It helps me and the more interest the more impact the person makes on me the more I remember them.

I give you a big thumbs up Mark, because when you first came here you seemed a little lost and some of your posts were easy to mock(your comment on that gay porn thead was awesome).
You seem to have grown a lot here and now are accepted by pretty much everybody and I think it has a lot to do with your honesty and willingness to give everyone a chance. Someday I will buy you a coffee and/or beer to make up for using your comment in my sig that time. |
