my gf didnt' pay her photoradar ticket . and she thinks there is a warrent out for her arrest. i said she is wrong because she never got a pink ticket form a cop. yet evryone eles she talkes to says iam worng whos right guys ?

RDS Celica
if you have an un-paid photo radar then you cant get a new registration on your car until you pay it. I think thats all it does.... cept if you wait that long youll probably have to pay interest or something equally retarded before they will let you register.

The cop would probably just let you know you have an outstanding ticket and you should get it resolved, but I couldnt see it being worse than that.

the cops wont say anything for a photo radar ticket, you will just have to pay it b4 you do anything at the registries(license, plates, etc) and i think if its late they tack on 20%

she's going to prison!!

seriously though, RDS is correct. she'll have to pay it before they let her renew her registration, that's all.

Just a little FYI: if the amount of fines totals $500 or more the driver's license is suspended ... but not until after a letter has been sent out to notify the person. That is why it is important to update your address within 14 days of moving within the province. The Courts will not accept the argument that you moved & never rec'd the letter - as long as it was sent to the last known address Motor Vehicles has for you.

Sorta off topic, but not...

The failing t soppora pedestrian ticket, isn't that $500 now? So if you don't show up to court to fight it and don't pay it before court then your suspened right?

Not everyody can scrape up $500 in a month or 2.
