hey guys i know this is kind of a crappy description....but when i accelerate in the integra about HALF the time there is a whining noise that gets louder the more i press down the gas....its only when i accelerate and its not there when i clutch out. anyone know what this could be and how i can fix it?
any info would be useful...

ill take a stab...
-tranny oil level.
-timimg belt rubbing on case because the crank thrust bearings are shot. |

| i doubt the thrust bearings are gone. sounds like tranny to me. I did have a timing belt rub on my case but it was the fault of a remanufactured water pump and the cogged wheel came loose and fell back onto the case. |

So people could see it happens to other makes too. I've only ever seen 2 DSMs crankwalk, and both were the result of crappy rebuilds. |

did i mention that its not consistent....sometimes there's no noise...i hope its not any thing expensive with the tranny...curses....

my buddys truck did that once , but all it waz when he got his oil changed and all that the dude doing it forgot to close up his air box so the sound waz comin from that whne the engine waz sucking air in so that could be why it only dose it went u step on tha gas
