Its gotta be one of the worst looking ones I have ever seen. All though, I have never seen these kinda cars t-bone each other before eather. |

| the kinda poof noise of the air and everything with the collision and the sound of the explosion = eirely scary. Exactly why they are pros and at the track with those cars. A guy i work with thats what he does for spare time is pit crew with teams like that and he still is amazed how many times they make it down the track and narrowly miss. Nice post still scary to see. |

| I would assume that they were ok. This was origionally posted on superhonda. There was no followup information there. Professional drag racing is one of those sports that is pretty safe from what I understand. The cars are built to take that kind of thing. It looks a lot worse because the way the fiberglass gets ripped off the cars. |

A lot of big chunks flying off in different directions is a good thing because it's absorbing and transferring energy from the impact.
And, despite the collision, at the point of impact, that has got to be one of the coolest noises I've ever heard.

| The guys were O.K......just a few bruises. The only reason the guy that flipped on his side was O.K. was that he was above the point where the other car impacted. VERY lucky! |
