I need to make room so i'm taking offers if anybody's got one, if not she's gonna end up at the wreckers
i have a 85 lebaron gts 4 door, 5spd the trans is awasome in this thing, it's got a new muffler with the cat cut off, i've installed a mopar ecm that will give you boost levels of 13psi( i also have the stock replacement with about 4 mapping sensors), the car has a modified air intake with a k/n filter, and a autometer boost gauge.
i just recently spent 700$ on the car it has a new heater valve,and new fuel injector o-rings as well as new fuel filter and new fuel injector wiring.
there are some minor problems with the car like the window motors are weak and the drivers door opening mechinism sticks.
the car is in need of a little tlc because it is suffering from a stutter when under load but i'm sure it's a fuel delivery problem and with minor work can be cured quite easily. the car will definitly pass a safety ins. I should also mention that this car is fast, very fast anyone that enjoys a good sleeper would definitly be happy with this little monster. it's blue and has a little bit of rust on the bottem of the rear doors and no structual rust what so ever.
if this car does not get sold i'm sure my farther or girlfriend would be happy driving this thing through the winter. offers$$$$$

how bad is the hesitation? is it driveable? fuel pump maybe?

yes it starts and drives very good. the hesitation only comes when the vehicle is under med to high load. it's probably a fuel pump/reg / or filter(which i have new in the box sitting in the car).
i also have the factory electrical manual- this allows you to diagnoise and fix almost any electrical problem and provides you with multiple fix's for all fault codes. |

alright, do you know how much a new fuel pump is worth for it? and when it does stutter is it harsh, or just barely noticeable?
if its around on the 15th i will come and look at it cash in hand. could you get it inspected? |

| it's definitly a noticeable stutter it's holding the car back. a fuel pump is about 190 new but thats at least 225 lph if you do change it i would suggest going bigger. but that might not be the problem |

just sounds like not enough or too much fuel. filter/reg/pump should do it.

| injectors were just worked on as i said in my first post. i guess a shitty tech could have screwed up. if it is an injector it would be #4 this one was replaced and got a new injector harness aswell. like i said, it's gotta be some easy fix but i just don't have the time. this thing will pass a safety no prob. the only problem might be a crack in the windsheild. i can look at getting a safety done just not at the moment. i'm alittle short on cash. |

if i buy it i will probably do a overhaul on the fuel system.
i need a beater bad though.
as long as its driveable under light load. might need to drive it around for a few weeks before i could fix it. sounds like its good as long you don't step on it haha

| it's usually either the fuel pump,filter,injectors on injector harness so I'd say roughly 600 dollars max and it'd be haulin ass |

i wouldn't even go as far as to say 600 maybe more like 300, if even that. since it's sitting in my driveway right now i plan on putting some time into her. but if i eliminate the stutter than the price might fluctuate alittle.

| Sounds like the hesitation might just be a vacume leak in a turbo line... pretty common on turbo cars. |

if the sale is forsure i'll deliver it, in winter the little things might piss you off alittle(the window motors get weak) but aside from the one little problem( stutter) there is nothing wrong with her.
she was an awasome car for winter, and lately i've been debating getting her ready for when the snow flys this year.
300 for it with out the, mopar cpu and 450 firm with it.

it comes on at large increases in boost or throttle.
i'm sure i could get an inspection done. but i'm not going to i'm letting her go for 300 bux an inspection is another 50, i'm not putting money into a beater that needs a tiny bit of work, when i'm already taking a loss on her. before she started stuttering i put about 1500 into her, new brakes, struts, new injectors, and a bunch of other bullshit.
the ecu in the car is worth 300 alone, frist person to throw me some dolars drives away :thumbup: |
