| Which brand is better?? Im thinking of going with all crower internals, with the crower stroker kit, and maybe the crower cam gears. Anybody surgest a better brand for internals on a B18C1 and what kind of cam gears?? |

This is definitely an area that is worth some research, as there can be a lot of difference in between brands and prices when it comes to rotating assembly parts.
The most important thing to do is to carefully evaluate your need. There really isn't much point in purchasing a billet crankshaft if you are building an engine that won't make more than 200 hp.
Likewise, purchasing an inexpensive cast rotating assembly for a heavily boosted or nitrous (any max effort, high horsepower engine) will end up costing you more in the long run due to parts failure.
Both Eagle and Crower produce good quality stuff. Note: JB's is not a distributor for Crower OR Eagle.
For sure, Crower is higher end, top notch product. Crower is one of the only manufacturers that still uses USA made forgings in most of their products. There are lots of Crower parts in racecars from NASCAR to Top Fuel.
Expect top quality tolerances and material selection from a Crower product. Also, expect a pretty high price tag. If you are planning to make over 500 hp, consider their products an investment in longevity (and also check out a Dart Block).
For other high end cranks and rods check out Callies, Moldex, Cola, Lunati and Scat (race series stuff). For pistons, check out Arias, Ross, JE & Mahle.
Eagle product is a value-leader type product. It is all produced off-shore, with some finish machining taking place in the USA. Eagle is a good choice when you are looking for a budget priced upgrade over stock. If you are building a street/strip engine, it will probably suit your needs just fine.
Note: I have had some mixed reviews from various machine shops on Eagle Products, some report that their cranks are not machined accurately, needing some touch-up on the journals and lots of Mallory to balance properly. Other guys seem to have good luck with the Eagle product.
Also check out Scat's street-series stuff. Like most other companies (Crower, Lunati and Callies excepted) they source their forgings and castings from overseas, but Scat does all of their machining in-house in California. I use one of their very cheapest cranks, and it has over 300 passes on it, and will be ready to go again next season.
My recommendation is to talk it over with your machine shop, they will have lots of experience with various manufacturers and will be able to help you select the right product for your engine. |

| For DSM's crower is the better rod. |

| In my experience for DSM's both Crower and Eagle do a good job. Eagle rods are just fine in engines making HUGE power..... |
