So my long running clicking noise coming from the wheel/engine compartment while turning (at parking lot speeds) is still on-going... even after the replacement of both axels (aka new cv joints).

Anyways, my old family mechanic back in Edmonton finally brought to light that that clicking noise is a common problem in Eagle Talons... resulting from the Stabilizer Link Kit. Among all sites & dsm owners that have complained about the problem... this is the first time i've heard that diagnosis.

My question is... what is a Stabilizer Link Kit? And if your knowledged in the part... what in that would be causing the clicking noise?

Thanks

I'm not sure if this is the same thing as the "Sway bar link kit" but if it is it's basically a two ended bar with bushings. The inner end connects to the sway bar and the other goes somewhere on the control arm I believe. I did them recently on an Intrepid, 5 minute install each side and they were about $60 each side I believe. As for the clicking, its possible, you could remove them and drive without them to rule them out(I've been told its safe to do so) but don't hold me responsible.

Any luck?

No, it doesn't seem to be that either. I had it checked out when i went in to get a wheel balance & my brakes lines flushed. However, it wasn't clicking for them & everything looked good :dunno: .

So it looks like another win for the noise

Haha, maybe you have a rock stuck in the tread of your tire.
