Any FD's going to be there? :)

now
most of the fd guys have put their cars away by now
but if you have one drive it:)

I'll be there in "the beater". "The Car" is hibernating on jackstands.

They are forcasting S***. Not 3rd gen weather! It's not the car, it's the tires! When the road is cold or cold and icy those performance tires are ball bearings! I almost looped it turning left onto the Yellowhead a few years ago - clean dry road but -7 deg. and the tires were still cold as I had just left the house. I barely touched the throttle and it went 1/2 way around before I caught it! Got -my- attention! ;)

It was +17?? yesterday!

Took the FD for rips. Going to drive it till it snows (and maybe I'll try it then as well) :)

(Maybe)

I think I may be there. My rx is haing issues, and I don't know if it's something fixable, or if I have blown an apex seal.

I've got M+S snow tires on the FD ;)

I am thinking seriously of putting Nokian WRs on mine, now that the Mich. Pilots are worn out. The guys at Kal Tire say the Nokians have better traction than the Pilots, and the guys on the forum say that's nonsense. I suspect it's a little of both. They are all full of it! ;) Actually, I suspect the Nokians would be better when the road was cold and the Mich. Pilots better when the road was warm. Maybe I should buy both and change wheels. ;)

On this note, I have never slid the Pilots (sideways - I break them loose quite often leaving stop lights - and usually don't even notice). I'm not sure the extra traction is necessary, the way I drive the car. Maybe the Nokian WRs would be suitable. I wonder if I can get a slightly larger (wider) size on there to partially compensate for the loss of warm weather traction? The Pilots -are- sticky. They throw rocks and pebbles all the time. The Nokians also throw rocks (I've got them on the Pathfinder /beater). They are so heavilly siped they collect rocks.

Or maybe I should just sell the car. $22,000 asking - anyone interested? :)
