Body Kits and Aeroparts - Click HERE for Original Thread

Are bodykits from Erebuni reliable? I hear people over at www.is300.net say they are basically rip-offs of other company's work and that they don't fit properly.
Are there any good companies that produce nice looking and reliable kits out there?

Safe to say this is for a is300?
Why would you want to put a body kit on a is300? Its already riced out enough from the factory. Save your money for a Supra TT swap.

How is the IS300 Riced out? That word is so overplayed, rice this, rice that. I like body kits.
King Kiong, check this out:
http://www.mechasports.com/msr_catalog/cat_aero_exterior/aero_kits_all/is300_trd_front2.jpg

I have heard enough horror stories from Erebuni that I would not buy from them if I had the choice. The old adage "You get what you pay for" really applies here.
You are correct that Erebuni copies other kits out there. The problem with copying a kit is three fold:
- Inherently, body kits don't fit perfectly because not all cars equally shaped; take two identical civics and the panels may not necessarily fit when you swap the two.
- Molds get worse and worse as you use them. Good Aftermarket companies will replace molds very often, hence driving the price up.
- When you copy a kit, you basically build a mold over the kit you want to copy.
A good analogy would be to trace a picture of a shape, then trace the trace you just made. Do it about 30 times and compare the 30th trace to the original picture.
What you save on the kit, will eventually cost you in additional body work.

I dont see how the IS300 is riced out.
But anyways, there's lots of kits avaliable for the IS300, though it might take some modication. The Altezza might have a different front bumper then the IS300.
Here's some my small list of bodykit manufacturer for the Altezza:
Advance, Air Walker, Amuse, Arms Design, Blaubar, Blitz, Boom, Bride, Carisma Top Gun, Cerumo, Circuit Design, C-One, C-West, D-Speed, Elite, Esprit, Explosion Evolution, Explosion, Greddy, Griffin, Growth, Hippo Sleek, HKS, Illusion, I-Mec, Jun, K-One, Lucky, Mythos, Netz, Office, Recomotion, Red Line Racing, Rocket Dancer, Rod Millen, Sard, Tiara, Tom's Spirit, Toms, TRD, UGO, Vetrex, Virage, Virus, Wald, WIN, Wise Sports, Works Bell, Zeal, Ziel.

The is300 suffered the same fate that the Supra Spoiler did. The Supra is most definately not rice, but that spoiler almost started the rice revolutiuon. The same not applies the the Altezzas

Probably the same goes for the Integra TypeR spoiler.

If any of you people live in Edmonton, Canada, I saw a Supra-ish spoiler on an IS300 at the dealers (Kingsway Lexus). The spoiler is quite big. Not sure if its a factory option though...

yes, I too have heard many bad things from erebuni. everyone who has boughten one always need extra body work at the shop. a lot of the times the skirts are too long or too short or the front end needs to be trim. stuff in the lines of that. also, i know that the erebuni kits are made of fibreglass, which i believe is more prone to crack when a strong force is applied to it. might be better off getting a urethene kit. ie WW kits.
