Does aerokit works? - Click HERE for Original Thread

There's so many aerokit manufacturers out there, it's hard to pick. My question is, has any of these manufacturer proven to create down force and reduce wind resistence on their aerokit? On a performance side, I would think most of it are just added weight. Even the OEM ITR (Integra TypeR) spoiler they only start creating down force at a extreme speed.
On another note, you see aftermarketers like C-West competing in curcuit racing. Their kit on their race car is completely different then from the street version. Kinda makes you wonder if some of the aftermarket kit really work or are they all just made for show.

I think most of the aerokits/bodykits out there are for appearance only. Just look at all those kits erebuni has. Do you think they all create downward force? I don't think so.
Kits are usually for making cars look fast, a la ricers. They don't really improve anything. What they do do, like you said, is add weight.

I should have stated the question more clearly. Beside the obvious kits like Erebuni, VIS, and so many out there. What about Mugen, Spoon, C-West, etc? They have a history of racing heritage but do their kit really produce any real performance?

I think Veilside's work considering they can get 9.81 sec in 1/4-mile with their C1-Supra kit. The cost of the car tho, is a whopping &#36165000.

of course they create downforce
the bigger the spoiler, the more weight & the more "down" force on the rear wheels
that's why if you have an FF car it'll give u 50/50 weight distribution!!
lol

LOL. Nice, I'll keep that useful information in mind.
