1. I was just wondering if anybody knew how to rebuild the logicon unit or knows where there's information on doing it?
2. I was also wondering if anybody knows any way to clean plastic parts without actually buying new stuff?

what's wrong with your logicon ?
As for plastic there is a 3m product that is used to polish
the clear cost after wet sanding its a very very fine
grit in a liquid, you can shine plastic up with it using a
power polisher of a very fast hand and a soft cloth.
