| What type of spring/struts are you guys using? And where did you buy them from? Anywhere in edmonton? Prices? I want to lower my car this summer and was wondering what you think is a good set up. |

| I am personally using the stock setup with the A.A.S: Automatic adjusting Suspension. I am thinking that i need new shock in the back but hey got no money for it right now. If you are part of the Edmonton RX7 Club you get deals at Fas Tech Tires, Webber Motors. Abbey Road MOtors, and Sundance Motors, so i am thinking your best bet to get lowering coils etc, would be Fas Tech but i could be wrong! You should come check the next meeting out, its on March 4. |

it's all determined by 2 things:
1) budget
2) application
application:
if it's daily driven, then go w/ struts & springs, skip coilovers
mainly racing = coilovers
i've done quite the bit of hunting & i jus can't seem to justify buying a $3500 coilover suspension, only to have it eventually rebuilt
Tokico & Koni have lifetime warranties
struts + springs + optional pillowball mounts = ~$2000
coilovers (pillowball mounts included in most packages) = ~$3500-4000 |

| Well I'm not racing or anything, just daily driver. But my car also has to be driven in winter :( So I was scared that lowering it with coils would not be good in winter, thus started looking at coilovers. I willing to spend about $1500 or so. Considered Ground Control coilovers. Actually I'd prefer less than $1500 but I can scrounge that up. Thinking Tokico HP's with eibach or intrax springs. Any suggestions? And prices locally? |

Any suggestions? And prices locally?
Suggestions = get them from the states, you'll STILL save money including shipping & customs
but you MUST shop around
Local prices = your wallet will never forgive you |

| tokico springs and shocks, the package for my Z will cost me $700.00 + install. That isn't that pricey for something with a lifetime warranty! They aren't the adjustable ones though... |

| I got about $1180 or so for tokico shocks and Eibach springs. Intrax springs will be less. |

you have $1180 to spend or $1180 was what you were quoted for tokico shocks & eibach springs?
do your research, find out what you want
the route "I" would go with to get decent street ride & great road race/good auto-x performance is:
-KYB AGX shocks from k2rd.com ($355USD for the set, ~$530CDN)
-Racing Beat suspension package from racingbeat.com ($428.40USD, ~$629CDN)
includes springs & sway bars (front & rear)
go onto rx7club.com & search: "kyb agx"
RB Springs = harsher ride, better performance
Eibach Pro = softer ride, lesser performance
Tokico Illumina = harsher ride, better performance
Koni Yellow = softer ride, lesser performance
KYB AGX = softest setting is like stock, harshest is like Illumina's but about 40% cheaper
KYB pretty much copied a Japanese company called GAB (which do not have a North American importer anymore which = no GAB suspension in NA) & they are top rated
KYB's have also been given praise in other enthusiast circles (nissan, integra type-r)
check out Ground Control coilovers as well, they're not the same as Teins or JIC coilovers but they are definitly popular |
