So i work at best buy in car audio sales and installs,
and sometimes customers that are lazy or don't have time to pick up there vehicle after an appoitment, just ask us to keep it there for them, but due to liability we can not leave vehicles inside so we leave them outside for the night, and we are not responciable for what happens because they are outside,
well today as i was driving into work, i see these 2 vehicles pushed into the kinda of ditch that we have behind the store,
and one jeep is totally fucked up like crushed to shit, and i go inside and they say someone came and just fucked up the 2 cars for fun, with anothe vehicle and also said that there was dammage from baseball batts and 2x4's or something.
well they talk to the cops and they said there was a dodge ram or something like that that smashed up a few other cars around and they think they smashed up these ones too, and they found the truck out near elersley road or some shit all smashed up
i'm just woundering if anyone saw anything anywhere, or knows of who it was, cus i feel bad for the ppl that this happened to, and because best buy is mostlikley not covering it because well, it was outside and the one car was there for atleast 3 days |

| Why would BB cover it anyway? Not their responsability. That's what car insurance is for. Sucks that it happened though. |

Lmao, i drove by there on sunday and saw those 2 vehicles.(Was the other a red civic?)I thought it was just some workers parked up there....

Even getting work done at a repair shop... they don't have to keep it inside, nor take responsibility once the work is done from my understanding.
If the work is in progress the vehicle is their responsibility.
This is what I was told when an ITR @ West Side Acura was almost ripped off but severly damaged in the parking lot (it was parked next to our TL for the night). The service manager said they ahd called the owner to pick it up and he was supposed to be there before close to get it but didn't make it in. They assumed no responsibility for the damages caused to the car b/c work was complete and he was supposed to pick it up, so because he (on his own accord) did not pick up the car it became his problem.
I assume it would be the same with getting something like a stereo installed.... once work is complete you should be there to collect your property or you're at your own risk?! |

the one car, (red civic) was parked outside for like 3 nights, they were too lazy to pick the vehicle up
there was no reason for them to get left over night,
same with the jeep all work was done, the owners were called to pick it up that night, they were just lazy, and didn't come, so they left it there |

| even if it happens at a mechanic's shop parking lot... its your own auto insurance that covers the damages. Not the business oddly enough. Pretty crappy for those that got their cars vandalized though. |

| is this the best buy right beside the leons on 137th? someone stole a truck out of our yard (nadp) bashed through the gate and went on a rampage. or tried. i guess he underestimated the truck (close to 1100 ft/lbs of torque) and didn't make it too far before hitting a parked audi and fled. |

| my aunty got hit today in walmart parking lot while she was in shopping...dinks never left a msg or anything.. her bumper was caved right in... and just to top it off its only been 4 days since she got it back from the autobody repair for another hit n run from 2 weeks prior.. id love to catch some idiot hit and run.. they will take the bus for a while |

they would be taking the handicap bus if i caught them and they tryed to run
and it was the southside bestbuy
and recently 2 of the late night employees cars were stolen from work aswell
i'm going to be parking my car outfront of work from now on but far enough away that it won't get hit |
