Hey i'm starting to get into the routine of going to gym again. Now i used to go to gym almost daily last year and stopped when working and recently have started again. This time i'm going to a 24 hour gym so i can have the time to go.
I used to have a website that showed me how to do exercises for chest, back, biceps.. etc.. like everything. It used to have pictures and descriptions on how to use the machines or free weights to work out the different parts of the body.
I was wondering if any of you have a website you can recommend since i have lost this website. The reason i need to do it this way instead of asking someone to run me through the equipment at gym is because they don't stay at the gym afterhours.
Thanks

honestly, pics won't help you out that much. You need to get in touch with a trainer (a good one at that) and have him/her set you up on a complete program.
I can recommend a few if you want (mine included)....

| No i just mean a picture to show me the equipment used. This site was amazing it had step to step pictures of the person doing the exercise. It helped alot just to learn the equipment since i don't have the correct time schedule for a trainer. I'm not a hardcore gym fanatic either. I use it mostly for cardio but when i do use weight machines and free weights i want to be using it efficiently. So even a site with different exercises and descriptions would help a lot. |

| just get an edition of Mens Health Magazine they show you the proper ways to do a lot of exercises. Its a real handy tool. besides that make a gym buddy and spend a couple bucks on a couple trainer sessions. It will improve your work out drastically |

| Let me check tonight on my other PC then - I found one before that has an actual video of the person doing it (10-15 second clip) and has 100 or so exercises. |

you will never be able to match the tips/tricks/nuances of training/nutrition that a seasoned trainer will give you. It is worth the money.
Any of the trainers at Hardcore......= good start.

Unfortunately most trainers are worthless, so the odds of getting a good one are low.
As well, the poster states that he will be working out at odd hours, which most good trainers can't accomendate (Because they are busy all day, so why would they work at 12am?). |

Hi Matt,
I can not reccomend any sites to you as of yet. I will check later tonight. The most important thing when working out with free weight is form. Form is very important too with the machines. If you have proper form, then you will excell by leaps and bounds. Stick with a weight that you can do the excercise properly with excellent and solid form. From there you can increase the weight a little. Nothing really amuses me more than some bafoon pushing huge weights but has subpar form. With out proper form you can not develop to your full potential and your risk of injury increases substantally. Sure you may feel like a fool lifting light weights to maximize and get your form down pat. However the quick results will be well worth it. :D
You will look like a hero lifting heavy weights with proper form!
