Has any of you heard of a clutch system called "Exedy"? If so, any good?

Thanks

dogstar
ive heard OF them, but nothing really good or bad, ill try and dig up some info on google.com (your good friend for searching btw)

They are a OEM mani for the Japanese car market.
They have been around for since WWII and make a good product that the Major OEM's use and if you look closely on the ACT , CF and CM pressure plates you will see they're symbol stamped in them.

I hear they have been making higher end after market products now.
No reviews yet but with 50 years of knowledge and developement with the OEM's I would expect a quailty product.

Heard there multidics are bad ass!!!

Yeah caues a guy I was talking with has one on his race WRX on the otherside of the world, and said that he swears by them. He suggested that I go with the "Hyper" Dual plated clutch. I hear they also make OS Giken. Bling Bling. Maybe I'll spot the 1400US for that clutch. Hehe.

Anyhow, thanks for the replies. If anyone has more info, let me know. Thanks

Peace

Alot of the race cars in japan use it.I've heard great things about them.Hold huge amounts of horsepower with very limited slipage.

SRBURG13
Hmmmmm, anyone heard of any prices for them? Decent, or over kill like the OS Giken ones?

Exedy makes a lot of different clutches. I would recommend a single plate clutch for your application. If they have a clutch like my ACT it should be good.

Ya I agree with Jared.I know Signal Auto's drift car has over 400hp and has an exedy single plate clutch so that should hold up on your car. They are quite expensive though.

Of the people that I knew who had the Exedy clutches, said it was very on-off.

They were a 3 puck cera-metallic sprung hub.

Something you may wish to consider but I don't know anyone with a multi-disc.

the only clutches ive heard bad things about is centerforce...
