| haha. we went drifitn at the zoo and some guy took photos of us. :dunno: Then as we were leaving, 2 police cars were coming down. I dont really want to go there again. How about the peanut. I want to see this place. lol. I think we should all go to a lake like jackfish or something and then we can shovel/ use my snowblower to clear sone huge patch of snow. Then we skid around. I think a tow-off would be fun.:thumbup: lol. However I dont have a winter beater. I have a 1994 greand caravan turn camper van and my regular 2000 civic. |

if you get the right winter tires i can see the gtr being great as a winter car, the atessa system is perfect for these types of conditions, i've driven both the murano and the g35 with the atessa system and they feel great on snow, and patch ice.
if ppl would get over the fact that its a gtr, but think of it as a capable awd car. ppl drive STI's in the winter, hell since it snowed i've seen a few porsche cayenne and even a carrera 4, these cars are much more expencive then a gtr, but they still drive them on shitty roads :dunno: |

but back to the topic, i think there should be winter beater meets, sure they're nothing special but so what, winter is fun to screw around in *safely and in the law of course:thumbup: * so people start coming out and having fun, we don't need to stand in the cold, stop at a timmy ho's and have a coffey and go have some fun, my opinion |

| k. Water truck plus the parking area of any lake = fun. then we'll be like. Hey wait. There's a lake. nvm. K well. Lakes need another month and a bit. Last january The back left wheel of my dad fx fwell theough while I was driving it and i though for sure the rest wa going, so i gotr my dogs out. The waited like 10 seconds. Got back in and put on traction controll awd or w/e "snow" is and it pulled itself out! half the back wheel was in though. |

| Last winter we used the big gravel parking lot right across from Purolator (sp?) on the south side it's a parking lot for a base ball diamond i think... you take the back road from southside mitsubishi...anyways, yeah when there's a nice layer of ice on the parking lot the cars really slip around:thumbup: and this lot is huge!!!! |

I use to work at that park for the city. If you guys are going drifting in the day I would say go for it. I use to drift the maintenance stuff and the big city F450s there all the time in the fall/winter.
I would go on the paved part just to the east of the buildings though personally. |

well shit, hopefully the snow will come back! I've done the whipping around the zoo many many times ... no one's ever taken my photo or called the cops! How ghey is that. We could also tow ourselves around the neighborhood - it's pretty quiet in that area.

Perhaps we know the same people that live there. I use to live in that area actually just in the crescent one street off from Buena Vista Road accross from the zoo. Right by the field that the city wanted to turn into a parking lot, then some sort of rec center. I lived there for 10 years. My folks still live there.
I agree, the neighbourhood is not all that quiet. The zoo parking lot has many potential hidden dangers in the winter. I would not reccomend it for the winter olympics drifting competition. Only a few paths are cleared in the winter in the parking lot. Ahhhh..... now the memories of jumping my old Cressida over a burried concrete paking curb at 50 km/hr while practicing skid control are returning. Lucky I did not bust anything up. :lol:
