| If you have 5K to spend on your ride, would you spend it on performace or on looks first? |
|
|
| REFLUX |
i think it jus depends on the person
i know some people who would spend it all on a sound system
but personally performance
i think a sleeper look is the only way to go
for example:
civic hatchback w/ a B18C5 (Type R engine) dropped into it
now THAT would kill
or a supercharged Maxima
something along the lines, SWEET! |
|
|
| Talented |
| If your car looks good and fast.. then it better #### well BE fast too.. or be prepared to wimp out at the line if anyone wants to go.... |

| I agree. Ever see the look of a riced out driver's face when he gets revved at? It's hilarious, they usually just stare ahead and pretend they can't hear the revving. |
|
|
| GirlRacer P1 |
I would spend it on performance, personally.
Or suspension. |

1. Roll down Window
2. Say "Its a Show car" |

| Most definitely speed. Just think about it, your car looks cool and then all of a sudden, you aren't ,because you just got toasted by some rustang. |

pabs for 5g u can do quite a bit
a good turbocharger costs round 4-5g (pretty sure @ least)
course that dont cover install & shit....
well u could spend it on:
suspension
exhaust
strut bar
anti-sway
add all that up w/ install prbly put u round 5g's |
|
|

| speed is my first choice. _but what you get for 5K depends on what you drive...
import owners pay more for mods. _a new DC Sports header for a civic costs 轜-辎 or so? _that'll buy a mustang owner headers and a cat-back exhaust. |
|
|
| siopao |
| yeah terry i guess you're right.. but if you wanna do serious mods then yeah.. it'll cost a lot more |
|
|
| REFLUX |
of course
also once ur done all the mods u want
next step is fine tuning it (IMO) 2 the level u want it at etc etc
then learnin how 2 drift like initial D! hahaha |

[/b][/quote]
not entirely true.. My gp is expensive to mod.. Headers when they first came out were 1k USD, now they are 辎 USD... also Intercooler for the GTP is like 1500$ USD... ahh.. rear sways ran me 跌.. | Mind you, most of the GP stuff can't be had locally, and there is only 1 or 2 shops in the US that make them.
But why not find a local fabricator to build you half of the chassis braces?, it'd probably cost less and be stronger, and fit right, why wouldn't you?!.
As for show vs go... I'd pick go. Better to look like crap and go fast than the other way around... |
