Hey Matt,
"The Display" isn't there but the car is. It's not a production model to my knowledge and is just a prototype but it looks hot! You should check it out!

I have a video from the net of mazda putting together a new renesis...

The rotors don't look any different to me, just the porting.

Of course looks mean nothing, functionality is everything.

now
well went to the show and seen the rx8 for myself, I have
to say it looks good!
Wish I had the money to get one.
By the sounds of it, even if you do have the money
they're all sold, mazda is sending so few
over that chances of getting one in the future wont be much better.
The factory rep that was there asked if I had any questions, to which I replied
" the questions I have you wouldn't have the answers to"
he said that he knows all the answers and can find the answers to
anything he didn't know. so I asked... what are the dimensions of the
apex seals in the new motor,,, he looked and looked and as I suspected
he couldn't answer my questions.
my brain didn't seem to be working but as I was looking through the
reps binder I was almost sure that I seen the production hp to be
210hp,,,, did they down grade the out put again?

There are going to be two versions; one with 210hp (available with a 5-speed or automatic) and one with 250hp (and the 6-speed). That's what a few articles have mentioned. Jeez Matt! Not staying on top of all things rotary???? :P Unfortunately I can't answer your question either though. Hopefully it's a factory two-piece 2mm like we talked about.

Krazy Karl

now
I know its a two piece 2mm with one spring but would like to know if
the measure the same or not, I am unsure if the depth of the groove
in the new rotor isn't deeper, mazda is saying that the new seals will
be good for 200,000 miles or more, which would suggest that they
are some new material or something.

was nice to see that the 6 speed comes in a basic package as
well, you don't have to get the most expensive model to get the 250 hp
with 6 speed
