| ok..i have 99 prelude....with 5 inch muffler.....side skirts and front grills....i dunno where my uncle bought them from but they were expensive ass shit....i have that sony deck that folds up and down (躔!!) and finished the interiors work....now that its riced out <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> what should i do to the engine? i was gonna super charge it but chged my mind....i gonna take out backseats (20-30 pounds off) stereo wif subs (30 pounds off) and i think i gonna take out ALL the tar under the seats to save bout 60-80 pounds off the car....thats all i can do alone so now i need ur guys help to tell meh how to modify this for speed |

| Don't bother with your backseats. _I doubt they weight 20-30 pounts (probably more like 10-15 lbs) and removing them IMO make the car is more riced out. _All that weight reduction does little in real performance. _Take away 100lbs and you reduce your ET's by about .1 - big deal. _<p>If you want real power, IMO your only option is Forced Induction. _There are a lot of Good turbo kits out for the Prelude. _Try Drag or RevHard. _Don't buy Japanese crap, and forget about I/H/E. _<p><p>(Edited by reno at 2:59 pm on Aug. 29, 2001) |

| i agree with reno. dont bother stripping weight off, it won't make much difference unless you can rip out some real heavy stuff. pulling things out of the interior isn't gonna cut it.<p>go with a turbo kit and learn how to set it up to run safely.<p>my 2 cents |

| well....preludes acceleration isn't the greatest.....and handling will improve....if i do mad reduction....cuz i need to shave off ever single millisecond i can....sometimes thats all it takes |

Practice driving and that will make up for any milliseconds you'll gain from weigh reduction.<p> |
