| I'm sure many of you have gone to new year eve fireworks, so if you can share any tips for parking that would be great. |

| There are like 90 lots just on the east side of 97st between Jasper and 104Ave. Generally they only cost $1 to park in at night. Or if you can luck out and find a meter it's free. |

For downtown events like that, why not park somewhere completely different and take the train?
I remember I was at the Canada Day fireworks one year and the cars kept trying to pour out of parking lots while pedestrians roamed the streets - complete chaos. |

For instance, if you're at Clariview park in the Superstore or Movie Theatre parking lot. |

I've parked at belvadere no prob.
could park at parkades at eaton center and such.. ya know those too kinda mall places on 102ave and 103st, south east of the greyhound or on 103ave and 100st both are supposed to have security and are dencently lit. Too bad they moved the fireworks to churchhill square.. i was better when they where at the bottom of the shaw conference center... could park, on the south side of the river by the pyramids(the mutart or whatever) and would have a great view.
Last time I was there you pretty much had to be in the square to see them. |

| i parked in the staples lot across from the downtown casino last year, i don't remember having to pay anything. |

| there is a big lot on 104st. and 100 ave i think its like 3 bucks for the whole night. :dunno: |
