| Adam @ Apex |
Hi all,
I just want to thank all of the V8less crew for the great job they did at the show this past weekend. Also a thanks to all of the guys that myself and Travis spoke to and the positive feedback we are getting about opening our new shop.
For those who missed the show or didnt see our booth we are the newest shop in town. Offering all services to domestics and imports alike with no bias or predjudice.
Our services include everything from major and minor boltons, engine rebuilding, engine swaps, porting and polishing intake manifolds and heads, as well as sales and full installl capabilities of everything we sell.
For all the skeptics that seen our booth and saw two Neons.....well, those are the cars we like and the ones we drive but not the only ones we know.
On top of all of the other services we offer, our biggest service that will help everyone out this year and for years to come is our Dynojet Dyno.
It is capable of front and rear whell drive cars and trucks up to a rating of 1200 HP and 1200 tq. We have also tricked it out and added the wideband O2 sensor monitoring that will be a key for anyone running nitrous, turbo or supercharged. We will be able to tune your ride for the proper amount of fuel and air to optimize your investment.
We also do group rates for all the V8less people and all the specific car clubs in Edmonton. We will also do midnight dyno runs and HP showoffs and competitions with prizes and a soon to be famous wall of fame and of course wall of shame.
Call us for information on parts, questions on services or to book time on the Dyno.

Hope to see you guys for the Grand Opening on March 15th

Nope, No relation to that group. :)

Thank You, we managed to pull it together nicely with very little time.

The dyno completed it's build process today. We will pick it up this week.
I get back on the 13th from Training although I am already familiar on how to run the system.

At this time no there isn't. There is a mopar performance brake bias adjuster available but it only works with the Disk brakes in the rear, our race car only employs drums in the rear (lighter, and not much performance difference between them and the discs).
Please contact us if you have any questions.

Ya, sorry that turbo combo is only for the neon, stratus, PT.
As for the V8 trucks and cars, we can get those parts for you easily. Remember that we will not stock parts for every make and model but that does not mean that we dont have them at our disposal. So if you walk in the store and you dont see parts for your car, just ask and we'll bring them in for you. :D |

My first custom manifold cost me $600 and Jim Wolf Technology is asking around $550 USD for theirs.
If I am reading this right, $650 for a Turbo, Manifold, AND a BOV?...
Like they say in the hen house <cheap!><cheap!>
Great to have you on Board Adam (no pun intended) I too would like to hear you tuning cost and Wideband O2 costs. |

$150 per hour for wideband O2 sensor monitoring. Capped to six runs an hour.
Group rates are available. Myself and Travis have yet to nail down the particulars on this. We'll post them up soon.
Also, all car specific clubs are welcome." |

Thanks for the support guys. It helps alot. :D
That turbo combo is a factory piece straight from Chrysler PVO
(performance vehicle operations). Its the same as whats on the turbo cruiser and the SRT-4. Its a 16G turbo with a factory setting of 14 psi. Its a pretty good piece but we'll have to wait until we fit it to a normal neon to see how it performs. Of course we'll have to lower the boost on it because a stock neon bottom end can only handle about 7-9 psi for extended periods. :D |

| at stews dyno you can make as many pulls as you can in an hour for 100.00 bucks theres no way i would go for a capp on the amount of pulls i do in an hour?i think i will stick to stews dyno he knows his shiiiettt.plus he has a guy there that knows eacing daryl i think his name is,he pilots a seven second street car but thats my two bits :thefinger: |

What kind of flow bench do you use to improve and match your port flows?
Is your machining done in house or do you buy it out?
Do you guys have a square wave TIG service?
Any plans on a AWD dyno addition as 2 wheel dyno's are already available here.
Good luck with your endevours.
:D |

Finally we have some reaction.
We were waiting for someone to say something about the cap. Just to see if people would agree or disagree with it. Obviously the cap is going to meet some criticism now since bigpappa mentioned it so the capp is now no more. You show up with your car and pay for an hour, we'll dyno your car till the hour is done. Whether it be 4 runs or 20, it doesnt matter.
On top of all that, the longer you book the dyno naturally the price will get better.
Hope that satisfies your dyno needs. |

| Adam @ Apex |
Flow benching is done at Davenport Racing in Calgary. And I'm not sure what kind of machine it is, sorry.
Machining is farmed out local machine shops.
We do not have square wave tig service.
And sorry no AWD drive dyno. Thats something like an extra 60,000 to 80,000 bucks on top of what we already spent. Sorry. |
