Hydroxycut? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Has anyone ever tried using hydroxycut? just wondering someone told me that it's basicly just takes the water out of your body.

Flex
Its a caffeine, asprin and ephedrine stack. If you look it up it will explain it all to you what each ingrediant does to help the others burn fat.

There are 2 versions of it a canadian version and an american version. The canadian version has no ephedrine in it.

A buddy of mine is using this stuff and you can tell just by looking at him that he lost weight. He had some schedule set up for this and he took it for awhile and noticeably lost weight.

Save your money first and ensure that your diet/training is ON before you try any supplementation. Too many people supplement an already poor strategy and wonder why nothing happens.

Hydroxycut isn't just an ECA stack, it also has a good dose of HCA (hydroxyxitric acid) as the base for its effectiveness.... BUT it's overpriced and you can get more effective products for a hell of a lot less. :)

Ultimate Orange was pretty good back when it had ephedrine in it but it doesn't anymore :(.

I used to buy the ECA stack back when you could get Ephedrine without Guafarosin (sp?) in it but the stuff now all has it which I have heard doesn't work as well I've heard. Can anyone confirm this?

Praylewd powr
It definately is overpriced, but if need be you can buy your own ephedra and add 25mg ephedra to your daily hydroxycut dosages. But it is true there are many other products available that are cheaper and as effective.

I make my own ECA stack for off season training.....much cheaper.

Check out the popeyes online store .....or bodybuilding.com for better prices.

I usually do more cardio for training and some weights. I just need something to give me more stamina and help muscle growth, do you guys have anything that you would recommend that is cheaper yet effective than hydroxycut?

Have you thought of using creatine to aid in muscle growth?

Muscle growth? Reduce the cardio, increase the lifting, and start eating properly.

Yup, perhaps get a real trainer to evaluate your program......use cardio only for appetite stimulation, and eat the correct way for adding mass. You can use creatine if you want, but these are all the things my trainer made me do...and the diet is the largest part of it all.

good luck.

Appetite stimulation? That's a new one on me.

I don't do cardio at all in the offseason and only start to roll into it when I'm dieting for a show. :)

Praylewd powr
Yup, that is what I thought too...but my trainer added mild cardio (brisk treadmill walk) to my off season training to ensure my appetite was up. I am having a hard time getting all the food in for the first while. He is one of the best, so I put my faith in him....and it is working.

Of course, on season diet/cardio/training changes but for the offseason, it is actually recommended to do a little mild cardio just so I can still do active things occasionally.

hehe, I was ordered to stop cardio for the offseason, and eating hasn't been a problem for me, but its not like I have to get in 5-6K cals per day either.

I would definitely put faith in your trainer, I've seen a lot of his clients at the shows last year and they came in tight and dry.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with MAN sports Supplements? More specifically Vaporize and Scorch? I know both aren't available to Canada, but anything you heard might be great.

GOT BOOST
Hey Guys,

I thought I would subject myself to this as an experiment. I am going to try the 8 week gimmick. I just purchased a 72 Caplet US formula from Superstore. 5 min after popping my first 2 caplets I was starting to feel a bit of a buzz from the caffeine. Keep in mind, my daily caffeine intake is very low as I do not drink coffee or a lot of pop. I am not sure if the buzz is in my head, or what. I will post the results in 8 weeks.

According to the Hydroxycut propaganda, the average weight loss is 14.99lbs and 12.54lbs after 8 weeks.

The cost was pretty inexpensive. it was $39.99

I am curious to see what the results will be. I know I have ripped abs somewhere under this spare tire I carry around.
