What's involved in getting a car that's been pegged as a write off back on the roads. What inspections does it have to go through in order for it to be street legal. Plus if you know if insurance will take a hit too? I was recently involved in an MVC and the car only has cosmetic damage to it. I want to repair it and get it back on the road just because so much money went into it already.

Check out the Alberta Transportation Website as it sets out what needs to be done to get a vehicle back on the road. Please recognize that there are two different types of written off vehicles: "salvage" and "non-repairable" ... makes a world of difference when deciding to fix something.
