Members, Guests, Affiliates & Friends,

I, Darcy Allingham, after much thought of continuing my association with the Edmonton Prelude Club as a whole, must finally come to that fork in the road and decide which road I am to take. I must now step away from my own creation.

Since 2002, when I first founded the Edmonton Prelude Club, I had worked very hard to promote this enthusiast car club, with the help from it's growing member base, it's affiliated vendors, the Honda Prelude community, and of course the sport compact community.

I, have faithfully promoted and supported the Honda Prelude community for the past 5 years. With the creation of the Edmonton Prelude Club, I was able to further help this endangered group of enthusiasts by forming a tight knit community where we could all lend support and self promote the Honda Prelude, not just in Edmonton but nation wide. My support was not only financially but lending my time and support towards the efforts of the sport compact movement for the past 3 years. I have met many fine people that comprise the sport compact community and have made many friends through our shared interests in imports. There are those that feel like family to me. I will fondly remember the times that we shared as a family and as a Honda Prelude community.

Due to my relocation to New Brunswick, I can no longer continue with the position as President of the club and maintain a peace of mind.

I, do hereby withdraw as active President of the Edmonton Prelude Club effective or beginning February 1, 2006.

I, will however remain involved with Edmonton Prelude Club but of a lesser involvement. Mike Stelter (mike3) has accepted the duty and responsibility of being my successor. In the next few weeks, we will have time to discuss which direction to move forward, as well as, transfer most of the clubs responsibilities to him from myself.

I have been very fortunate to have met so many great people and to have been apart of something so grand. I am so very thankful for those who have helped to bring the Edmonton Prelude Club to where it is today and I have no doubt that the club will continue to see success in my absence.

Respectfully Yours,

Sad to see you go Darcy! You will be missed. we'll have some good memories from car shows and trips to Calgary though!

Thanks for all the hard work you've put into making this club what it is today, and the club just won't be the same without you.

no offence, but what did the president even do for the club?

92_WhItE_H23
made it exist.. without him there would be no organization, rarely any meets, no car shows, no site like this that gets ppl together to discuss thier problems locally. no one to buy up all the parts we all dream of but never have enough money to see in real life until he buys them and brings them to the meet!!!:D

so the EPC is dead now?

Obviously someone is either illiterate or extremely lazy and didn't read what Darcy had written. So..... No the club is not "dead"

Sorry guys, I have been crazy busy this weekend trying to pack my entire house, deal with realitors, etc... Atleast I had the opportunity to witness the Oilers play on last time...\

As for as the club, Mike will be looking after the local duties and responsibilites and I will continue to support Mike in club membership.

Mike will need all the help he can get, mainly support and committment from it's members...

In terms of what I actually did as the founder and acting president. Firstly, I started this club and secondly a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Mainly, just take peoples money to buy overpriced jdm go-fast parts, hahaha

I hope to take part in one last meet. Not sure if it will happen before I actually leave but remember, I will be back april/may to get my car looked after over at STRD so don't worry you'll see me again...
