ok this happened months ago when i still had a busted tail light!
so i was driving with my girl laura around 1:30 in the morning and im going down 137ave by londonderry mall. im going about 70-80km an hour and this is on a tuesday i believe, but any way i'm passing the police station that was their and the light turns yellow as i get up to where the passing lane starts. so i gun it abit to beat the light! as i do so some "chick" cop pulls out of the police station and put's on her lights! oh great i say, i was in the best mood befor this because i was taking laura to the peelers! B)
so i pull over and the cop ask's
"why were you speeding?"
i said i was only going 70km and that theirs no one around i can hurt!
she's says that it looked like i was going allot faster than 70
BUT i have a radar detector right and it picks up EVERYTHING!
so i say, " well did you clock me going over 70?"
"no"
"well than what ever" i reply
than she starts on me!
" how long have you had you taillight busted out for?"
"about 3 months i guess"
"well why havm't you gotten it fixed?"
i pull out the little slip that tells the info on what happened and i ask her
" does it say a time limit on there of when i need to get it fixed?"
she say's "no, but i would say a couple of weeks max"
"what ever i reply, what r u gonna do?"
she tells me that it is "illegal to have white light emitting from the rear of your car!
i said that i see a whole bunch of guys that have euro tails with clear lenses and their not illegal!
so she takes my info back to her car and im in the car having a smoke and i flick the butt out the window. as i do so i look at laura and say "watch she's gonna give me a ticket for littering"
the cop come's back to my car and gives me a ticket for running a YELLOW light! Correct me if im wrong but dosen't it say in the drivers hand book that you should stop at a yellow unless it is unsafe to do so! ANYWAYS
than she looks me right in the eye's, flashers her "lightsaber" in my car and at my girl and say's!
" AND HERE'S YOUR TICKET FOR LITTERING TOO PUNK!"
litteraly threw it in my face and than walked back to her car and took off befor i even had a chance to start mine!
ok lesson to be learned!
1) don't act like a punk!
2) don't flick a butt out your window after being a punk!
and
3) simply smile and nod!

Hmmm let’s see now...
Cruising at 70-80, then you gun it a little... lets say... oh about 90-100 maybe?... Most knowledgeable people that have experience looking at moving vehicles would note that you were speeding... I guess If I was a cop... I would have probably done same thing mainly for the fact that you definitely caught my attention. Further more.. if you gave me some lip like "whatever" and "what are you going to do about it" then again I would do same as she did or maybe even more!
Sometimes its best to cooperate and be nice!

i thought once you past the "point of no return" your in the clear.
its not illegal to run a yellow, just make sure your across the lights when they turn red. |

| it's illegal to enter the intersection on a red everyone knows this but if you're a certain distance from the intersection and it's yellow and you run it bam there's your ticket and it's at the cops discretion if you woulda been yes ma'am sorry ma'am I need some $$$ to fix the light ma'am have a good nite officer.... then you woulda got away with a bit of hounding :P |

I think it's about one to two car lengths away from the stop line that if you are in that you can keep on going. Of course, some streets with higher speed limits, it becomes a lot more difficult to stop.
Which brings me to "Red Light Cameras." :angry: I see them going off on other people's cars that would have had no chance of stopping in time. If they had tried, they would be in the middle of the intersection or had the vehicle behind them on top of them. |

I got one of those tickets a long time ago.
I think it was called 'Jumping the yellow'
"If you have to jump on the gas to clear the intersection, then you would have had enough time/distance to stop."
I think that was the rationale behind the ticket.. |

Hey what did this bitch cop look like, cause I got harrassed in the same manner by a lady cop around the londondary station too, I wannted to file a complaint but never got around to it, well she never gave me a ticket so what ever, but now I think it is becoming a constant problem.
The bitch I am referring to is like 5'8 short brown or dirty blonde hair I think, skinny looks almost anerxiate. She said the same thing to me "get out of here before I seize your car you drug dealing punk" funny isent when you goto school all your life to realize that you dont need an education to be a reject in society. This bitch and I refer to her as one alot is to me classified a REJECT :thumbsdown: |

Than I must have been VERY lucky with my experiences so far....
and NOT: I do NOT spead ANYMORE.
I was pulled over for doing 170-ish km's in an 80km zone.
Of course, I was visually distraught, and I was shaking like hell when they spoke to me... and I'm sure I was going white.
Don't know why they only gave me a warning, perhaps they thought a warning would be more suitable than slapping the cuffs on and hauling my ass off to jail.
But like I Said, I so learned from that experience, and the most I have sped is 20 over on the freeway.
EDIT: Forgot to add, I had two female cops (One that pulled me over, and her supervisor in another car)
Second EDIT: Also forgot to mention, I was not street racing any car at all. |

ok drew this is where i draw the line for stupidity sorry man ur cool and all, but from your story you're at fault for all the thing you did even if there is noone you can "hurt" you're still breaking the law man. i guess you'll have to kill someone before you understand this... i almost killed my little brother and this was because of a stupid kid.... not cause i was driving fast ..... id like to see what you have to say about this when that happens...
