| ACT is good indeed. I'm running with the ACT friction disk with the combination of an ITR pressure plate for the Civic....PLENTY of hold, yet cheap! |

I've heard nothing but BAAAAD things about CM, stay away from them.
Go with ACT, they last and tougher than a forged titanium ball!!
I have an ACT with an RPS Carbon Fibre disc, nothing would ever changer my mind when I need to swap that out again... eventually :) |

==============
It would be a good idea considering its alot of labour just to take out and put the tranny back in. Get the job done right. Pressure plate, release bearing, and a new disk would be ideal. For me, I'd also throw in a new pilot bearing too. You don't have to get a new flywheel unless you want a lighter one. Have the OEM flywheel machined too if you haven't done it for a while... :bigthumbup: |

| Ooops! Forgot to add...if you purchase a clutch assm., it usually already comes with the pressure plate, friction disk and release bearings...but check on it just incase. |

I have a CM stage3 HDTZ and I like it. It holds well and feels stock which is great for daily driving. If I had to do it again I would definitely stick with CM.
I've also heard good things about ACT but I don't have any personal experience with them. |

| Pro Drag |
Pro Drag sells A.C.T. and Clutchmaster's. We stand behind both companies. I personally have a Stage 3 HDTZ in my car, as does the Race Civic. I love it. I was a little unsure about the Clutchmaster's because they haven't been around as long but I have never experienced a better performing clutch.
As long as you follow the break in procedure you will be more than happy with either A.C.T. or Clutchmaster's product. Having driven both companies product in identical cars, I am happy I chose the Clutchmaster's, YMMV. (your milage may vary). :bigthumbup: |

| Sure, if you are puttin down the power needed to justify spendin the dough on an ACT. Unless your current clutch is burnt out, don't bother. |

| Run and ACT, but used to run Center Force no complaints with it! Just make sure you break it in properly! :lol: |

| I can echo Aaron's recommendation. If it's stock with boltons, the stock clutch will be fine. |

| I agree with above.... spend the money if you are already pushing enough power where the factory unit is no longer capable! Also, if you need to replace it, but your motor is pretty much stock or maybe if you gain 10-15% power, the factory clutch maystill be good enough.......Do it when it's justified! I wouldnt do it just to say I have one! |

| Stage to Stage Clutchmasters will wallop ACT also CM does not induce crank walk this is especially important to the DSM guys. Also test to test as revealed at SEMA last year Clutchmasters Stage 1 clutch hold longer with more presurre and less pedal effort than ACT Stage 3. I distribute CM and we are also a warranty outlet for them. The biggest problem CM had was 2 years back when an employee at there California warehouse was defrauding the company by putting inferior products in CM boxes and keeping the extra cash for himself. This just about finshed the comapny before they caught on. The other problem I have seen on warranty claims was knockoff product bought from people on the internet. The product we have sold and serviced has been flawless and worked perfectly all the time. We even had them design a clutch setup for our high ouytput diesel trucks. This setup would hold 1500 ft/lbs of torque incresed pedal pressure 15% and placed 3000 lbs of pressure against the flywheel. I say Clutchmasters all the way. |
