Hey guys, have a chance at one of the new JL's i think its 13" not sure. It's brand new, still in box. Friend only wants 250 bones for it. What kind of amp would you need to push it, also how big of a box would i need for this? I want something for my civic, but i'm not sure if this is overkill, or if it will blow the windows out of my car. What do you guys think, should i go for it?
also is there anyway of hooking up an amp and sub to a factory deck? thanks |

J/L in general make very quality stuff.
Check out J/L's site they usually recommend an amp (their's of course) to run a given product. http://www.jlaudio.com
As for running the stereo with your factory deck, it's definitely possible (something I will be doing right away) with the use of a line convertor or an amp that has speaker line inputs. |

| hmm let me think.......no. sorry. this is sort of a favor from him to me (if i buy it) but otherwise he's probably going to ask $600 + for it. I think he paid around a grand for it. Sorry :( |

Yeah, I'll take one too for $275! A&B Sound wants $1300 for one of these things! And of course, they have a huge ass box for it, powered by a JL 1000 watt amp... 1.875 cu ft is a pretty big box... Of course, for US$369, you can get an Adire Brahma with 27.32mm one way linear Xmax... |
