1997 prelude SH

Should it have a red top?

preluderca
No, Black, if it has one, it was probably changed

92_WhItE_H23
yea probly just an aftermarket valve cover..

Nis13
thanks guys

preluderca
are you inquiring for a future purchase ?

If so dont buy high kms, no more the 100 cuz they start to have serious oil troubles...the h22 anyway mine did, now im stuck with a car payment for a car that barely runs due to a cracked piston

92_WhItE_H23
man H22 will go forever.. dont buy a bagged mistreated one...mines supercharged and it has well over 100k lol its been supercharged most of its life and it runs fine, minus my boost leak.

preluderca
lol well shit, that means karma has got me and i got the dud engine, its ok once i get back to work i will start the build up on my beast

92_WhItE_H23
yea exactly id take that as a sign man lol FEED ME BOOST is all its sayin. take ur time and build it.

Nis13
a piston? just fix it. I don't think thats fair to say all preludes over 100k is useless i have owned two ludes with over 200k and never gave me any mech. problems

preluderca
what years it happend to mine, my buddy derrick had one , and sold it because of the oil problem, he neglected to tell me about it before i bought mine, its the v-tec but its all good, i was planning on building it up for lots of boost anyway

Boost leak? I don't think that's physically possible...

How's the short supercharger belt look? Last time I thought there was a boost leak, it was just the belt worn out.

92_WhItE_H23
well im not sure if you have read my forum about it:

http://forums.780tuners.com/showthr...mp;pagenumber=1

but its just a real wierd noise.. i know technicly it wouldnt be a boost leak, more a VAC leak that causes me not to hit full boost lol. it would be easier for you to read my forum then to repost everything here..
