I'm not up to date with all the points with the different parties...I know some of the major points, however I am quite ignorant at this point with that and not even sure who I want to vote for still! It's like a lose lose situation; I don't agree with many of the points of the two major parties, and it seems like voting for any party is a waste of a vote.
Can anyone give me a quick run down (okay maybe not THAT quick) or that main points and what party stands for what and what your opinions are?
Yah, I'm bored. |

Maybe that's a good thing.
Liberals/PC/NDP are VERY good at keeping power. I thought the point was to represent the people and improve our standard of living, and Canada in general?
Look at how 'clever' the Liberals were in staying in power (all sorts of tricks to delay the inevitable). PC were wiped down to TWO seats! Then using all sorts of politcal games they are almost back in power. NDP in a similar vien were removed from BC (every single seat!), yet here they are!
People have a short memory. |

| I can't beleive any one on this earth is stupid enough to want to blow billions on missile defense. Countless experts have said it won't work, yet the Conservatives and apparantly the Toronto Sun think it's genius. |

What's up with the PCs wanting to cut the GST? Seeing as how people below a certain income receive a GST rebate (which will be 25% smaller), doesn't this seem like a tax cut for the rich and middle class? If they're wanting to cut taxes, why not cut the taxes for all Canadians including the poor.
Then there's the question of whether cutting taxes in an economic upswing is a smart move in first place; which both main parties want to do. |

Yep, you are not condsidered "poor" so you don't get the rebate. This tax cut is nice for people like us who don't get the rebate, but for people below that line it will make very little difference. |

It was a stupid promise then and it's a stupid promise now. Though in 1993 a tax cut might have helped stimulate a slumping economy. |
