hi guys,
I was talking with a co-worker, and they mentioned to me that I should run the heater in my car to prevent the "seals" from drying up...what is he talking about? and is he right, shoud I?
just thought I would bug you guys a bit lol:p

I don't think you want to run your AC. AC will definetely dry it out. I.e. when you turn on defrost, the AC is automatically kicked in to dry out the air there fore it can defrost your windows on the inside.
As far as seats drying out, I couldn't tell you. |

If you are talking about a winter storage routine that includes starting up the car periodically, then it is a good idea to run the A/C for a bit, and cycle it on and off, etc. Its better for the compressor in the long run if you do.
As far as the heater goes... dunno. Never heard a reason why it would matter if you ran the heater or not. It can't hurt anything if you do though. |
