lol, considering that was a barely modified BPU (basic performance upgrades) supra, which is usually good for about 12-13 second times, big whoop...
and if it was relentless, no wonder the supra lost, theyve been campagning that car for what, 5 years? a tin can k car with 400 horses or something. |

Aren't Supra's the lowest bang for the buck?
I heard they sold for 75,000 - 80,000 is that true.
Lets see 80,000 / 300 HP = $266 per HP.

Maybe with a 100hp shot of nitrous! But a cutlass cierra is a FWD GM POS that came with either a 2.8L, a 3.1L, or a 3.3L V6..... all kinda crappy engines! -_- To make it fast or cool would be quite a trick!

| I am shure it was built on Junkyard parts turbos that make that kind of boost aren't found undernethe the hood of an old mini van. Fast none the less but just a K car also. Which I find kinda cool |

| Supras retail used for about $45,000. Spend another $7000 on the car and you have 575hp to the wheels daily-driven with leather, AC and all the creature comforts. Sure you can spend $3000 on a beater and make haul ass but can you pick up a date and valet park the car without wearing a paper bag over your head? Nope. Supras, Skylines are good for 800hp on stock internals. Silvias, 240SXs are good for 400hp stock internals. I like a nice fast daily-driven street car. My 84 Rabbit is the car that gets a shit kicking at the track, gutted, direct port nitrous and all. :bigthumbup: |

I missed the point? Let's talk bang for the buck, K-Car retail was like $5000 for 96hp? Not to mention a lousy interior, handling, styling, and overall value. The Supra NEVER retailed for $80,000 it was $45-50,000 depending on the level of trim. The are true sports cars. You can buy one now for about $35,000 and still hand it to most cars at the import drags and just about every car will get pumped on the highway by it.
Compare apples to apples. Bang for the buck= $100 Rabbit GTI+$1500 2L 16V engine= 14.7@90mph on street tires. Try that with a K-car. That 10second K-car which is totally sick, cost more than $1600 thats for sure. |
