night_font
as the above title states! also adding what drop are your riding at???

i was thinking of getting:

EIBACH PRO-KIT LOWERING SPRINGS
1.3" front / 1.3" rear drop
$300.00

NEUSPEED SPORT LOWERING SPRINGS
1.75" front / 1.5" rear drop
$245.00

TEIN S.Tech Lowering Springs
1.5" front / 1.3" rear drop
$210.00

SPRINT Lowering Springs
2.25" front / 2.25" rear drop
$210.00

ZENN lowering springs
2.2" front / 2.2" rear drop
$180.00

what would be you best opinion and why???also i will be using 215/40/17 on 17x7 rim and +40mm offset

or if any of you guys have any that you might be selling (that is, "lowering springs") for a 5th gen, tell me about them.

redwall177
chris you need help hahahahahahahaha

night_font
haha, what???i dont understant matt, is it that you are talking gibberish beucase your lude is slow???

92_WhItE_H23
the most common set up for 5th gens from what i see on most lude forums is H&R springs and Koni Yellows. I have the H&Rs im just trying to source a set of konis.

bearinalude
i'm currently riding on H&Rs as well, within your options i'd probably go with the teins. i don't reallie like any cars goin below 1.5, and having the front a bit lower than the rear looks better. jus my two cents

98_Prelude
im ridin tein, i love em, now all i need are some god like struts, anyone know a good name?

92_WhItE_H23
Tokiko or Koni. Tein if your blood has gold in it. BB6SE had Tein springs on his lude i believe and it was the nicest drop ive seen on a lude i think.

98_Prelude
nice nice, i think i can say i have one of the lowest ludes in the city, its soo nice, but one of my front struts are leaking, so gotta replace em all now, where would someone recommond gettting a set of sturts of any make????

littledan
stech srpings are gay.

i'm using tanabe sustec pro coilover i love it

how do u know that ur struts are leaking?

98_Prelude
well, im not a AAA pro, but when i see more oil running down my strut than oil my car takes.........something might be up, anyones guess....

well, i didnt say they were "god like" n unfortunatly i dont sit on a pile of coke, but how much did u spend for thoes

92_WhItE_H23
ahahah the irony of it all

2ndgenlude
s-tech is probably best bang for your buck no doubt.

h&r if you want to spend a little more and have a bit stiffer spring. i believe tein's ride similar to stock. just a little stiffer.
as for shocks, go kyb agx or if you can spend more koni yellow for sure. kyb's are only good to about a 1.5" drop though. koni's can handle more/ they ride nicer. both are adjustable. im looking at s-tech springs and kyb agx shocks. 700 for everything tax-in brand new.

Rich_A
I'm riding on Tein S-Tech and Tokico Illumina's. Drop is perfect, handling is MUCH better but I could go for some stiffer springs.

I am going to upgrade to GC Coilovers w/ Illumina's

2ndgenlude
i was thinking about GC's.
anyone know who carries them and how much they are?
see how price compares to springs.

order them factory direct with the spring rates you want. don't order them through anyone.

Xx D-MAN xX
I have tein ha coilovers. Love them...

If I were to just get lowering springs, I'd get the tein s-tech.

For a spring/strut combo, H&R sport w/ Koni yellows...

2ndgenlude
what spring lowers more? h&r sport or the s-techs? h&r race too low?
im also looking at neuspeed sports.
GC coilovers look pretty good too. damn this is a hard decision haha.

4thGenLude
im debating between the neuspeeds and the eibachs..
all depends on how much i want to drop it really.. i'll do some measurements and see where i'll be riding at with each..

ive heard some bad things about h&r's.. the fact that the rear end tends to sroop alot after a week or two..
but thats more common on different cars.. i hear they are fine on preludes..

anyways..
i was going to ask.. if i want my 17's flush with my wheel well..
how much of a drop is that roughly? cause thats exactly what i want.. (i'll be on stock struts for a while.. but will upgrade to koni yellows at a later date)

2ndgenlude
to be flush your probably looking for a 1.75 inch drop about.
bad news for stock struts. next week im just going to go all out and buy the strut/spring combo and do it right the 1st time.
probably won't install them until its nice out though.

4thGenLude
how long do you think the stock struts will last on a 1.75'' drop?
i might just save up so that the time spring comes.. i'll have the complete combo..

but so many other things to spend money on too:(
money pit

98_Prelude
on my lude i got the s tech on stock struts they were out on at 150xxx n they were good up intill about 200xxx thats when i seen some more than average wear...but thats my car everyone is differnt

i just got an ATTS emblem...its so nice though i'd add that

2ndgenlude
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ADME:B:AAQ:CA:1

Rich_A
completely worth it. grab em!

2ndgenlude
im going to try to find them locally, i hate buying off of e-gay. but i will if i have to haha.

92_WhItE_H23
what the shit..thats pretty local considering your saving about 400 bucks.. you can pay for the shipping and still save an assload..theres gotta be a catch in there somewhere... thats like 1100 new in any shop in edmonton

2ndgenlude
http://cgi.ebay.ca/TEIN-TYPE-FLEX-D...1QQcmdZViewItem

my bad thats what i thought the first set was... nevermind hah both are average pricing.

2ndgenlude
transform wants 1100 for basic, 1500 for ss, and 2200 for flex

2ndgenlude
im going with the superstreet coilovers. are the pillowball mounts worth it? i don't plan on using edfc.

mike3
Im hoping to be riding on FLEX by spring. I got an awesome quote from SpeedTech.
