Ok, this car is not a good candidate for Volvo of the year.

As a Volvo tuner myself, a few things:

If he's pushing "190 hp" (I assume crank) after a 15 hp increase, I'm wondering if it's even a turbo? If it is, it would be an LPT (low-pressure turbo), and that should be running 193 crank-hp stock. Most likely it's an N/A pushing 168 hp (sounds like it too).

The stock 850 Turbos put out about 222 hp, and the inline-5 is pretty responsive to mods. Once you hit around 330-350 hp, you need to worry about your connecting rods, as they're the weak link in the engine. So that's where most 850 tuners call it a day, unless you feel like opening 'er up. 850 Turbos are relatively cheap and plentiful, and serve as a fun platform to build upon. Don't expect BMW handling or STi power, but a turbocharged FWD car that's around 3250 lbs stock can make for some good times.

And regarding the styling of that car.. er... beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose.

it sounds pretty sweet! i think it would be ok if he changed a few things and added MORE POWER

i will admit it doesnt sound nice, but i hate painted interior pieces, it just looks so cheap, and it has a alot of time and effort put into it, however it does need more power, i remember a few years back there was a volvo from jb's runnin a 5.0 in it, that was sweet, with a color change and strippi8n all those decals off it would be alot nicer

the 2nd one makes the orange one look like the true peice of shit that it is.

i've always loved volvo wagons.... but i think that one just doesn't do them justice...

Its a much better write up than the video presented however totally different ideas of "Cost of Hapiness" the idea in the video is the amount of joy the wagon brings to the owner not to the car.

That was a deadly awesome read on the blue Volvo btw thanks :)
