Yup, that pretty much the same as mine minus its USDM...
Every panel has been rusted off, still runs great and beat the hell out of it all the time. |

Don't mistake the 80's Toyota Pickup's durability with anything they make now. The 22R was considered the worlds best engine, because you couldn't kill it. I once drove one of those pickups (with huge offroad tires) to Jackfish (west of Rocky Mtn. House) with no oil in it. I did an oil change before leaving the shop (it was my bosses truck, I was just towing the quad trailer and water tank/hotwater heater. The guy made a hot tub out of his trailer by lining it with poly and firing up the water heater) but left the oil cap laying on the rad. We topped it up, stuffed the hole with a rag, and the truck still runs. That was seven years ago. |

Oh yeah, by all means, I'd import it.. JDM yo.. heh well not I'd import it cause a better chance of low miles at a good price, and better shape. So it would be like a 89-91. |

I had 2 toyota tecels, 1 4dr atx, 1 3dr mtx(wannabe sr5)
The 4dr, I used to manually shift that ATX, drove it hard, really hard. When my mom got it #1 cylinder wouldn't fire til about 2000rpm, like hitting NOS hehe..... putt putt putt varoom.
The 3dr was given to me by a friend, it was torchered in a farm field many many times before I got it. I put new rear shocks, bled the brakes(where still soft), the tranny had suposidly just been replaced, and I blew first gear within a month.
Both where high high 200,000s. |

that is just unreal, reminds me of my 79 civic ... ditched 2ice , hit a snow mound and was high centered , got stuck in a parking lot of snow and ice and still pulled strong , went to sask and back , edmonton and back 2ice , and did some unreal donuts in parking lots.
more power to the old jdm cars |
