I liked better when it first got here from Ontario. I don't like the yellow lights and CF hood.
Sure sounds sexy as hell though. What exhaust is on it again?

I'm pretty sure the yellow is a type of yellow rockguard film that they put on. I'm not a big fan of colored headlight film but it DOES look good on their S14 |

He has the same problem as I did in terms of s15 front end fitment.
That hood doesn't close.
Other than that, clean clean car. |

the car came from Ontario like this...garage works put there sticker on it.. the exhaust was a ebay special(....remember louis me and evan put it on)..along with the front mount, bumper, down pipe, BOV....haha to bad Kyro didnt keep it....the cars putting down somewhere in the 240 hp range... |

Garage Works did purchase the car like that... But it did need alot a work. We refinished the front bumper, bought a new OEM Seibon CF Hood, changed the headlights to yellow, put Mtec 3000K yellow HIDs, change the blow-off valve, custom made the piping from the intercooler to the turbo ( Because whoever did most of the work on the car used Cheap Home Depot PVC piping and hot glue to hold the vaccum line that looked like crap.) Fixed all oil leak seals, change the deformed oil pan, fixed the boost problem, Eric Foo tuned the car, Tint the windows 35% all round, Relocated the the boost guage, Turbo timer, boost controller cause it was all completely hacked in.( had to order new Center console and temp. control trim because of that.) This car will not pass inspection ( Out of Province for that matter, previous owner didn't even had it registered in alberta because he could'nt get it passed cause of all the mods.) We worked endless nights to have this car passed. Back and forth to the inspection company and everytime they would tell us something else we would have to change.( Like the rad support... waited for the S15 Rad instead cause the Previous rad had all the welds broken. we had to change the suspension back to factory before they would pass it as well.etc...) So far, that is what we had done so far.
The Company did purchase the car because the owner loves 240's. He bought this car cause it is a nice car. We do have more plans for it, like, taking out the S13 engine and putting a S15 in to match the front end. Engine is on the way too... Complete paint job by stripping the entire car cause it use to green and Dave's really picky about wanting everything the same color.
Although, it may just seem that we just put our company logo on the car. i think we've done our fare share on working on the vehicle to the state it is in now. it was'nt even running properly when it was bought and now it great... I think we can consider this car to be Garage Works because they did buy it... |

Probably from the accident. |

| The car is absolutly georgous. |

| The welds that were broken were actually near the latch. They were broken in the area that extended for the front end conversion... |

No it was'nt taken to canadian tire... never would he do that. It was done at a dealership. The car was originally from montreal so out of province inspections are pretty strict. The front end was modified due to the fact the rad support was extened, suspension did clearly not meet factory specs, exhuast etc. we even had to remove the tint in the front windows to pass, believe it or not. It was a lot of hassle, but we got it done.
Thanks for all the good comments.... |

um.......tons of cars pass out of province coming from japan and its the same test........that makes little sense they you had to change somehting like suspension even......its a saftey test not a oem car test. |

I'm guessing it had something to with the way repairs were made after it was smashed up. It's also why John didn't register it in Alberta.
Make sure both back rims are bolted together tight. They've both come apart (two piece wheels) on the highway. |

I think the car is beautiful but I fail to see how yellow headlights are functional.
All I can think of is yellow = better to cut thru fog
how much fog do we get in Edmonton????
IMO it's just an aesthetic mod
Kevin:
$700 hood popping up at 110km/h = more than $700 to repair the damage it would do to the car
Might I refer you to the following thread:
http://forums.780tuners.com/showthr...;threadid=32047
Unless it's strictly a show cah that's going to be driven like a granny
:dunno:
And if that's the case, the big FMIC would be useless, along with the staggered wheels, exhaust, bling suspension, etc. |

i believe the car has a 3000k-4000k HID kit.. which cuts through fog alot better. Correct me if i'm wrong. |

HIDs should cut thru most weather conditions better than the regular headlight setup (halogen?) but I was referring to you saying yellow headlights are functional.
Whatever, I'm not here to argue the functionality of yellow headlights, just wanted to share my thoughts :dunno:
Car looks great  |

By yellow headlights i meant the hid kit.. yellow light is more visible to the human eye than say a 10k hid kit. |

| i remember reading somewhere that yellow is best for your eyes becuase the eye reacts and see`s object better when they have a yellow tint mostly at night, thus why street lights are yellowish. but then again i could be waaaay wrong so im sorry if this is not true. |
|
|
| 86Boi |
we are fixing the other hood to put hood pins on...he wants a clean look it doesnt matter...yes the car is fast and yes we are scared the hood might fly off again but it hasnt yet and its held on pretty tight....
the yellow rockgaurd has its functions....for one..its rockgaurd..protects the expensive headlights that, for fact are hard to find, and two yes it adds asthetics to the car looks good and is clean.
the HIDs are yellow because david wants to make the car look as JDM as possible thus Yellow...when u say Yellow JDM most ppl will know....ex. JDM HID integra, they have the JDM yellow for the fogs....and on and on....
thanks for the feedback terry |

It's true. GTS Jeff put it best in words.
"Whiter and bluer lights force the pupils of the human eye to contract, because we perceive it as glare. Contracted pupil = reduced night vision.
Yellow lights are on the opposite end of the spectrum, so our eyes can utilize the lighting a lot better." |
|
|

^^^^
Guess that makes sense.
Where did GTS Jeff say that though? :dunno: |
