Hey guys, Im not really sure where I should post this, but I will explain my situation here.
I tried to set up an account on beyond.ca and after I filled out all my info I got the following response...
Sorry. The administrator has banned your email address.
I sent the administrator 3 emails with no response. I was wondering if anyone knew why this is happening?

if it didn't work on 2 different email addresses then its your ip address...
someone here on 780 might be able to help you out...last i heard 780 and beyond were on the same server...so maybe pm a mod and he can point you in a general direction |

| hahaha someone probebly used your stuff, or was a user of firefox and spawned your IP adress and got it banned, how i know that, well;) |

Are you behind a firewall or a router? sometimes these cause issues with certain forums because the IPs for routers are the same.. 192.1.101 etc kinda thing port maybe different but the basic IP is the same. SO if some putz with a 192 IP address got banned and now anything with 192 is being filtered you maybe screwed......
I would be able to help more with more info... but best thing for you to do now is ... if you have windows 98 ... run --- > winipcfg ... release alll renew all ... if you have winxp ... go to network connections release and renew... |

I tried the above recommendation and still no luck. What is this about not being able to use a hotmail, gmail, etc email address? I use hotmail mostly and sometimes gmail....could this seriously be the issue?

its likly that they have dissalowed the use of free email accounts to limit fake accounts.
want an email account thats not going to be considered free to beyond.ca software give me a pm for the name and i'll send one off for ya. |
