| Has anyone seen the boxy ass 80's Volvo wagon that comes out to Budpark every once and a while? Its rust red and powered by a SBC I think... the damn thing runs 12s. |

Not when the cars go 150mph on the 1/8 mile. Street circuit 1/8 mile is one of the toughest straight line drag races out there. They pick a common city street and 2 1100+hp cars go at it side by side. They pull off 5-6 second times at 130-150 mph in a 1/8 mile.
Can anybody tell me why its tougher to do drag racing on a common city street? |
