| Anyone here just change springs and not shocks? I hear that the shocks go soon if you don't change them with better shocks. I want to lower my Civic but I can't afford 迀 for adjustable shocks. |

| REFLUX |
should prbly save up then
cuz it's like u dont wanna turbocharge ur engine & not get a timer... |
| wazzup |
| i did it when i first had my car, i had eibach springs on factory shocks and struts.....drove like that for about a year and blew them, now i'm running coil-overs on koni's. |

| you could always do the shocks later. _you'll kinda have to do the work twice tho... once to remove/replace the springs and once more to remove/replace the shocks. _no big deal if you don't mind doing it yourself, but not so great if you're paying for the install of the springs and/or shocks. _you could put that money towards other mods.
if you just do the springs you'll probably have to start saving some money for the day the stock shocks die on you. |

| dont make the same mistake I did. If you cheap out on suspension your going to have to fix it later anyways. A car that bounces everywhere is no fun to drive nor safe. Buy what you need the first time and save yourself the extra installation/deinstallation fees, extra exspenses, wasted time, etc. If you want a set of Tanabe Suspec Pro coilovers with dampener let me know. I am selling mine. Reason: going back to stock |

Why are you going back to stock Paul??
It is usually best to get everything done at the same time... I would say my opinion, but cairo wrote it very well. |

| Cairo is right, why waste your time and money to do things twice? just make sure that what you're getting is something that you're satisfy with, second hand parts are dirt cheap, so you'll lose a lot of money.
well, changing the springs without changing the shocks can certainly be done, but i can tell you now, the ride is going to be like shit! cuz the stock shocks are not designed to be lowered, so they're not going to have enough suspension travel, it feels like you're floating.
i used to ride on H&R Race springs with Koni adjustable shocks, the ride was still not that great, i guess the springs were too low.
now i've switched to Apexi N1 full coilovers (the real deal!!) and i can say they're well worth the money, oh, by the way, my car is only slightly lower than stock, but the ride is WAY better than when it was low. |
| EG6 SiRII |
| Remember, lower is not better(performance wise)! |

| So whats the best way (least expensive) to drop my civic. I don't mind a worse ride because I don't race, but I don't want to comprimise safety. |
| CRXguy |
| If you don't do any of that track stuff, then it would be a waste of money to get adjustable shocks. Just get non-adjustables.
ie. Koni 'Reds', Kyb GR2, Tokico 'Blues'....... |

| cairo |
| buy my tanabes, ill give you a good deal.... and you say you dont mind the worst ride but how enjoyable is driving if your car and you are bouncing everywhere? regardless if your racing or not? |

| Cairo, EG6 SiRII - you guys sure have a lot of spare parts. These aren't black market goods are they ;-).
I'll probably wait till pring to make my move. I'm pretty poor after the bodywork. |
| siopao |
| how much would everything cost? springs & shocks?? |
| EG6 SiRII |
| no way! all our parts are legit, we don't support the black market, i believe what goes around comes around, so i don't buy stolen shit! the parts that we sell are either off our friend's cars or our own. |

| EG6: are you and Paul both going back to stock? |
| EG6 SiRII |
| GirlRacer P1, i'm not going back to stock, i'm keeping my car the way it is, if i sell anything on my car i won't be able to buy it again, like my wheels and suspension. |
| GirlRacer P1 |
| EG6: That is good to hear, you have a very nice car. How did you do at the last Battle of the Imports? |
| EG6 SiRII |
