I am going to be coming out to Edmonton for some work on my car, I bought it from someone in Edmonton and it has had some modifications done to it. Where is a good shop to take it to so I can have it dyno's and then work with them to see where to go from what has currently been done.

Thnx

Chris

edit: nevermind, I see that you've emailed me as well.

I'll get back to you later tonight (either via this post, or email) if I have some time to get into some more detail with you.

In the meantime what specifically has been done to your car so far?

Sound's exactly like Mike's car... I guess he finally sold it and you must be the new owner. I'm assuming this car is a black 1990 NA 2+2 that had the TT swap? Wings West fascia?

Assuming this is the same car, the first thing you need to establish is how healthy it is. I didn't have all the details but my impression was Mike always had little "issues" with how that car was running since the swap was done. Have you been in contact with the shop that did the original work (Sumaru's)?

What was Eurasia doing on this car for you?

Getting this car on the dyno would be a good idea. I'd be very interested to see how it does. I can recommend Apex Modified. They have a Dynojet 248C chassis dyno. Our Z Club has a pretty good relationship with them and Travis is a great guy to deal with. I can help set something up if you like and if you decide to go there I wouldn't mind being present for your dyno session and we'll see if I can help at all.

Same car ... I've fixed a couple of the little issues (put a stock steering wheel back on to re-gain cruise), hooked up the overdrive switch in the shifter. It runs great, the only issues that remain that I am working on is to get the correct signal for the temp control to stop displaying -85, get a working speedo, and have someone look at the HKS ALCII (not shifting right sometimes). Other than it rides like a wooden buckboard on bumps it goes liek a raped pig and handles like its on rails.

From what I got from Mike, he took it to another shop (Custom Automotive I think) and they fixed all the problems after sumaruz was done with it. (I emailed sumaruz yesterday)

One thing that suprised Mike, and Eurasia and would have stopped me from buying the vehicle is their is rust on the framerail at the rear mounting gussett. I spent $1000.00 for Eurasia to do an inspection, an appraisel, and to soften the ride. They missed it each time and its pretty obvious so the agreed to have it repaired for at at their cost. This is why I cam coming out in the first place.
