| So i need help deciding what i wanna do with my life. I graduated Business from NAIT and it got me no-where special. Now i wanna go back and do a different program. Any suggestions? I want something that has the potential to make lots of money some day.... i'm talking like 6 figures a year. However, i'm a bit picky because i don't wanna work in a sausage factory, if u get what i am saying. Any ideas? I'm totally stumped on this. |

Why not take the degree program NAIT allows you to, through the University of Lethbridge, and spend 2 years in school and get a Management degree?
Let's face it - any trade you take is going to be a sausage fest. If you're all about the ladies, you can always try out the Health Sciences programs, such as Respiratoy Therapy. They make decent wage, and are in demand.
As well, if all you want is money one of the highest paying non-apprentice fields at NAIT is in the Engineering portions (Civil, Mechanical, and Chemical). |

Errr. Resp therapy is sort of assy.
Getting your management degree from UofL would be a good idea. Plenty of women in that program and plenty of women in the workplace. ;) |

You will never make 6 figures as a respiratory therapist unless you invent something. |

| depending on the company you work for, you can get pretty close to 6 figures even if you dont wanna work up there |

Theres lots to consider... i was actually looking into the bio-medical engineering program. Doesnt seem like there is a high demand for them though unfortunately.
With the Management degree... anybody know what the work place salaries are typically like? Also... advancement in the management field? |

That will depend more on you than your education. Education gets you in the door, but it doesn't guarantee you advancement and 6 figures.
That said, with our economy the way it is, you shouldn't have too many problems in any field. :) |

I agree with this. Also to add on to that, the people you know and your network of contacts will assist you in getting and maintaining a good job and moving up the ladder. |

Just like any other degree - the salary range is quite wide.
I know engineers that work in call centres and I know other engineers making 6 figures. Both went to the same school, yet their career path is completely different. |
