I have been reading tuns on painting interior and exterior parts, there is some that I would like to do blue/silver but not sure if its a good idea to do myself, since I have never ever ever done anything like this before.
Any places in Edmonton that does good work for a medium price. Obviously money is always important but workmanship and quality is important as well.
Clear coats are nice to see, custom paint jobs etc.
Names of contacts and Addresses would be great, I will check some of them out over the next couple of weeks.

forget the shops. I did mine myself and it turned out nicer than my buddys. He paid like 200. I paid 20 for my supplies.
you will need
1 can of Primer
1 can of Paint
1 can of clear coat
desired amount of 3M scuff pads
1 liter of Varsol
1 Fan (highly recomended)
Remove the parts you want painted.
scuff them up with a 3M Scuff pad (Fine or Med)
Wash them in Varsol then Water
1 coat of primer (15 mins to dry)
4 coats of paint. (every 2 hrs or so)
4 coats of Clear ( every hr or so)
Apply the paint liberally. You rather do lots of coats in small amounts that will eliminate runs and orange peeling. I found that Krylon paint puts on a nice glossy finish. |

If you feel like doing colour blends this works just as well. I even saw spray bombs of Chromalusion paint at UAP/NAPA a few months ago, so if you maybe wanted to do the colour changing paint on a custom sub box or something along those lines, that's always an option.

That is a good and cheap way of doing things, but dont try to paint your whole car this way, after a month your paint will chip off, it's good for like kits that are fiberglass or plastic, metal takes more care to fill in the high and low spots. Use Dupont or Sikkens paint very high quality. Go to Carlsons they will mix you up spray bombs and touch up paint there for a good price.
But I would like to know more on dying interior, never did it but currious on how to go about doing it. :) |

| if you are painting your interior, make sure you get ALLLL the old armor all and stuff off. The silocone in it doesn't react good with the paint |

What's a good solution to take off that silicone shiet?
I used to use methol hydrate but it drys shit out too fast. |

| The place where i bought teh vinyl paint sold me some prep stuff and said it would help, but it didn't, ive heard about engine degreaser working but never tried it. If you use methyl hydrate is it still paintable?? |

| Ya it cleans it off real good, it's like alcohol drys quick. |

methyl hydrate... hmm... my catalog says it's pretty pricey. but i guess it's not "automotive" stuff
i'd suggest wash grade acetone. |
